On those day’s when the show has tech issues or everything is going wrong in rehearsals, tech week or life, I try to remember this. In one paragraph, this stage manager reminds me of the importance of theatre in this world.
What a powerful example of the wonderful things theatre can accomplice! Exactly the reason we do this work. To reach to people and move them... Nice!Â
Nog een paar foto's van een improvisatie voorstelling in het theater. Deze voorstelling speelden we in opdracht van een grote organisatie. De opdrachtgever was erg tevreden, maar we hebben er zelf ook enorm van genoten!

Candlemaker Ferryman Factor (looks after business for an employer in another city) Tiler Cutler Beekeeper Apothecary Interpreter Furrier Moneylender/Banker Winemaker Tinker (small trader who repairs stuff) Nightsoil collector Customs officer Also a bonus for animal related professions: Fowler (supplies game birds for eating) Warrener (catches rabbits on your land for you to eat) Ostler (looks after your horses) Falconer (looks after your falcons) Cocker (looks after your fighting cocks)
Putting this here as an example of the myriad of characters that inhabit just one genre. How often do we default to knight/peasant or king/queen/servant or wizard? Who else could be there? I want to do the same for a bunch of other genres. Let’s find more people to tell stories about!Â
