"A pleasure to meet you Crystal. Welcome to Robotropolis." He said. "Or more accurately, a med-lab in my fortress in Robotropolis…" He beckoned her to follow him as he would lead her to his monitor room to show her his city, all of the monitors changing to show it. "Here, you can better see my city…" Mobians, Overlanders and Robians all living together in peace…. Quite a thing.

"The pleasure's all mine, at this point," she motioned to her new eyes. Crystal slid off the table and followed Julian, awestruck when she saw what was on the monitors.

"A... amazing," the woman breathed, looking to each one individually. Despite not being to keen on mobians and their ilk, this was an indescribable feat that he had completed.

Julian continued to look at her. “Well, I do hope they work. I would hate for you to still be blind after that.” He said.

"Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Doctor Julian Ivo Robotnik of The House of Ivo."

Crystal paused for a moment, looking the other over.

"I suppose you were right," she muttered with a smirk, averting her gaze by studying the room itself. When she looked back, her demeanor had completely changed from wary to interested.

"Quite the name," the professor teased lightly, then adding, "How rude of me-- I only gave you my professional name. I'm Crystal."

"It’s not that I look bad… I find I actually look rather attractive." He said to himself as the machinery came down. "I’ll put you under so you don’t feel anything." He said, first letting a needle come down to inject her with a substance to knock her out.

Then came the cybernetic surgery…. which he did his best to ONLY give her the eyes….. A pair like his…. with Magi-Tek of course. It wouldn’t take long, he had refined this process.

He injected her with another liquid to wake her when it was all over. “Well…. try them out.”

'I'll be the judge of that,' Crystal thought with a smirk.

Darkness quickly enveloped her mind as she felt a needle prick at her...

...Which seemed to immediately clear up. Awake now, assuming the operation was complete, the professor was hesitant to open her eyes. She sat up slowly, stalling for another moment before she finally opened them.

Getting lost on different planets and universes had quickly become a pastime of the blue hedgehog, now lost in a forest it seemed. Big surprise there, but the bigger surprise was that Sonic was actually walking for once and not mowing over whoever lived in this place.

After a few twists and turns he came upon the shack, but more importantly an actual person. Putting on his usual smile the hedgehog strutted over and waved a hand. “Yo~”

The voice was unfamiliar, but at this point, any voice would have been welcome.

"Hello there," she chimed bitterly, looking in the direction that the voice had come from. "And who-- or what-- might you be? Forgive my brashness, but I cannot see you."

"My condition is that you keep an open mind when you see my face." He said, having Nacht open a Warp Ring. "Please, hold my hand, follow me and lay on the table you find…" He said, leading her through.

"You can't look that bad," Crystal jokingly scoffed. She cautiously let him take her hand, stepping carefully through the... something. When she did so, the professor immediately knew she was somewhere different-- the air and ground beneath her had changed significantly.

She was suspicious of him, but anything was better than living in that blasted forest among those rats.

Finding the table, Crystal quickly got a feel for it and slowly hopped up on it, doing as he'd said.

"The only catch…. would depend on your answer to the following question. Do you know of the Multi-Vere theory?"

"You mean, the theory in which details the possibility of an infinite number of universes existing parallel, above, and below one-another? Yes, I am quite familiar with it-- I covered it in one of my classes quite some time ago, and quite enjoyed it, personally."

"I am Doctor… Julian." He said with a smile. He let his right arm come for a shake, avoiding his left hand. "Forgive me, I try to avoid using my left hand on some occasions. If you want eyes, I can have my assistant take you to my medical lab."

"Dr. Julian," she repeated, more eagerly shaking hands with him when she knew where it was. "Nothing to forgive," Crystal noted, taking her hand back after a moment. "I would greatly appreciate that!... Yet, I must ask-- what is the catch? This sounds a little to good to be true-- my apologies, I don't mean to be rude."

"Blind?" He mused. "That cannot be allowed. Would you like some cybernetic eyes?" He offered. "I’m afraid I cannot make them look normal, but you can change the color of the eye itself and the pupil…. though they will always look unnatural."

"Wh... what?" she couldn't believe her ears-- maybe they were going out, too. "I... yes, yes, I'd do anything for them," Crystal extended her hand just slightly, making an attempt to shake, though not knowing exactly where to place it to do so.

"I am Professor Glouin. Pleasure to meet you...?"

Julian looked down at the woman. He had identified this location easily enough…. The Great Forest…. but what was someone doing in it? “I’ve been traveling with my robotic assistant,” He made sure Nacht kept his mouth shut at that. “And I got lost. I don’t suppose you can tell me where I am? Forests…. aren’t my favored location.”

"I wish I could tell you," Crystal stated, shaking her head, "but I have no idea where I am, either." Assuming by his voice that the one standing before him was taller than her, the professor looked up to where she thought his face or eyes might have been.

"I've gone blind, and have been trapped here for... some time now."

A calm knock came. <Hello? Is there anybody home?>

"Nacht, perhaps you should let me do the talking. Not everyone is accustomed to robots as I."

<Yes Father.>

"...Yes," Prof. Glouin replied slowly. Better she speak now than sit here in silence, waiting for them to get impatient. Slow, careful footsteps were heard as Crystal made her way to the door, feeling about until she found the handle and pulled it open.

Without looking directly at-- well, anything-- she continued,

"Can I help you?"

Machines? In the Great Forest? Surely that wasn't a good sign. She would have fled if she could have, but any attempt to leave her broken shack would likely be her end. No, without her sight, she was trapped.

Prof. Glouin felt around the old mass of sticks and leaves, pushing herself as far to the back of it as she could. Part of her wanted to step outside, yet... even she wasn't so foolish.

Tut tut. The professor would have been hard at work, provided she could see her work. An unfinished machine sat beneath a somewhat poorly-built shack, which she sat in a chair next to.

"Just one last thing, and my sight goes," Prof. Glouin mused aloud, tapping a long stick-- her cane-- against the metal. She'd put out word that she was looking for someone to give her a hand in finding the last piece, but thus far, no one had come.

A rush of air and a muffled boom. Yes, that was certainly recognizable, though she'd never met him. What else could it be? It wasn't like anything else moved that fast.
