That we are just messing with each other. It is what we kitsune do.
True. But you’re far less mischievous than other foxes I know.

True. But you’re far less mischievous than other foxes I know.
forsythdeen:
“Sometimes the unexpected is the most rewarding.” He told him and took another sip. He was really enjoying it. “I thought of the same when I joined the university”
Deucalion merely shrugged, gazing out the window with a thoughtful expression. “Things have been happening quickly, in recent months. I’m not sure if I should continue to take it in stride, or to sit back and take some time to think.”
You are back?
I am, yes. We’ll see for how long, but for the time being I’m picking up a teaching position at the university.
whiteredeyeswolf:
Are you doubting yourself?
I’m not good at cooking multiple things. That’s why baking is so much easier, there’s a particular science to it.
alwyasupforviolence:
“Find me a saint first and I’ll tell you if you even had to try to be one.” She said, “And don’t say Scott. He doesn’t count” She quickly stated. He wasn’t a saint either, but he could sometimes act like…Jesus.
“I’ve met several saints,” the alpha pointed out, shrugging. “But Scott is something else. He’d rather martyr himself at any given opportunity. Less of a saint, more of a Jesus-archetype.”
I did not think I would see you again.
I get that a lot. You know how it is, nobody strays from Beacon Hills for very long.
alphagrumphale:
Would that be so bad? I would find it interesting if he is.
Truly? Why would you find that sort of thing interesting?
forsythdeen:
“Yes. After all, I hear a lot of what happens in this town.” He shrugged and relaxed on the chair. “Are you enjoying your job?”
“I am, surprisingly,” he hummed, smiling as he sipped his tea. “I didn’t think of myself as a teacher, but the university has been a good experience. I’m glad I chose to return.”
amariwinds:
You are charming, but don’t expect too much darling. I don’t trust you just like you don’t trust me.
And yet, here we are on speaking terms. What would our ancestors think?
alwyasupforviolence:
“Oh but you mean back back then, not when you came back with new and updated eyes.”
“I was still a bad person then.” He spoke again, tone slightly softer this time as one finger tracked over the barely-there scars still ingering around his eyes. “I’m still far from a saint.”
I did not think I would see you again.
I get that a lot. You know how it is, nobody strays from Beacon Hills for very long.
alphagrumphale:
Is he doing this to atone for your mistakes?
[Scoffs.] I would certainly hope not. No, he does it for his own reasons.
that-tsunami-though:
Even dogs get baths Deucey. You’re back in town. I’m happy.
Honestly, I’m surprised that I actually missed this place. I thought I was done with it. I suppose everyone comes crawling back eventually.
alphapauljames:
While Deucalion was talking, Paul just let out a sigh that was more so out of relief than anything else. It was always nice to know whenever someone was willing to help him. Even if it was with just the store, dealing with things on your own was really difficult. He didn’t have to though and knew that he didn’t, but he still had a lot of issues he had to work on. “Thanks. I appreciate it…” He paused out of hesitance, but eventually the words started coming out of his mouth. “There is another thing stressing me out. I…I’m worried about sharing it with you though.”
Intrigued at Paul’s caution, Deucalion tilted his head slightly, leaning back and crossing his arms as he considered the younger man. “If you’d rather not share with me, Paul, you don’t have to. You don’t know me very well, we’re not exactly good friends. But, if I can help somehow, I’d like to. I can’t guarantee that my advice will be worth taking, but at the very least I can lend an ear. And, admittedly, now I find myself intrigued. What is it that’s troubling you?”
You are back?
I am, yes. We’ll see for how long, but for the time being I’m picking up a teaching position at the university.
whiteredeyeswolf:
Then I know you will make something delicious.
I can guarantee it will, at the very least, be edible.
You are back?
I am, yes. We’ll see for how long, but for the time being I’m picking up a teaching position at the university.
whiteredeyeswolf:
In that case, how good can you make a steak?
Well enough to know that grill marks mean nothing and a good steak should be cooked in a hearth.
forsythdeen:
“Maybe it won’t. You have to be a little optimistic, but if I hear anything I’ll let you know.” He said before he took another sip.
Deucalion shrugged, gaze tracking out the window and observing the low city skyline. “I suppose that would work. Thank you, either way.”
You are back?
I am, yes. We’ll see for how long, but for the time being I’m picking up a teaching position at the university.
whiteredeyeswolf:
I thought you were only good at baking.
I’m a wolf of many talents.
alwyasupforviolence:
Her eyebrows went up as he laughed. “How were you a mess? Did I miss something?”
“I slaughtered indiscriminately back in the day,” he said simply, shrugging. “Anything to grow my power. It was all messy business.”
I did not think I would see you again.
I get that a lot. You know how it is, nobody strays from Beacon Hills for very long.
alphagrumphale:
Sounds like you know them well.
Probably more than I’d like, but it is what it is.
