     Typical Chloe reaction, Max concluded. She expected      nothing less of her best friend. Still, she was reluctant      to say anything about it. As stated before, it was      embarrassing. She could already feel her cheeks      beginning to tingle at the thought. Chloe would      probably laugh about it once Max told her…      Still, she knew that she needed to calm the bluette      down. Dealing with a worked up Chloe was no fun.      So, with a light sigh and slight hesitance, she      admitted,      ❝Well… You’re probably gonna laugh, but… I was      laying in bed texting, and I was on my back, holding      my phone above me, and it slipped out of my hand      at one point, and fell and hit me in the face. That’s      what happened…❞

Chloe couldn’t help but start laughing. The black eye looked really bad and the phone should have hit her really hard. She knew that if she laughed, Max would probably get embarassed. But it was too funny to picture the situation in Chloe’s head. She stopped laughing, but she still had a grin on her face.

“You... literally got a black eye this bad just by... dropping your phone on your face... Max, you’re such a nerd sometimes. I got so worried.”
