Palesa Kaa is the daughter of Kaa, and is a twenty one year old junior in university. Her sexuality is up to her player. Palesa grew up in South Africa. She looks a lot like Tammin Sursok. Palesa is currently taken.
I donât want to be like the dust that settles. this empire of nothingâŠ
After Shere Khan was defeated, Kaa fled India in hopes of starting over. He returned to his native home in South Africa, and began to build a new life. The gift of hypnotism passed on when he had a daughter of his own; Palesa had her father wrapped around her finger from birth, and it wasnât hard to see why. She was a precious girl that everyone who met her, fell in love with. And it wasnât until Palesa was a teenager that she found out why. Her powers of hypnotism were out of her control. Kaa took her to every doctor, medicine man, and mystic that he could find, and they all said the same thing. âSheâs a lovely girl, why would you want to change a thing about her?â All except one.
In England, just outside of London, Kaa and Palesa found a witch that was unaffected by Lesaâs hypnotism. Her name was Madam Mim, and she offered to help them on the condition that Lesa stay with her. After much discussion, Kaa decided that it was for the best. (Palesa disagreed, but her powers of hypnotism didnât work on her father). And so Lesa stayed, from age sixteen to twenty one. In that time, she learned to do household magic, cleaned for Mim, and freed some of the small animals that Mim kept for experiments on the sly. On her twenty first birthday, Madam Mim gave her a gift that would change her life: a pair of sunglasses that would dampen her powers. And then, Lesa got her letter.
The idea of going to a school far away, after being gone from her father for so long, was heartbreaking. However, Kaa promised to visit, and wished her all the best at her new school. Pal was alright up until the point that she got on the plane to Elias Prep, but then the anxiety sunk in; what if her new glasses didnât work? How would she ever know if she was making friends for real, or if they were just doing her bidding? Sure, she trusted Mimâs magic to do what she said it would, but making friends was all that Palesa ever wanted, so obviously she would have her doubts.Â
I find that Iâm king of all these empty halls, that Iâm ruled by my own floorsâŠ
Palesa hopes that she can make friends at this new school, and catch up on her courses. She hadnât been to school since high school, and is afraid that some of her education skills might have been lost in time. Part of her is worried that she wonât want to wear her sunglasses all of the time, but then what will become of her? Will she become like her father in the past and use her power for her own dark purposes? Only time can tell.
