It's practically her life's mission to be the person someone needs when they need it, whether that be a gentle embrace or just a shoulder to cry on.

Sometimes I think about restarting a lot of things. Rebuild from the ground up. My passion project is mostly that, a passion project. But wanting the ability to pour more time into it and seperate it from how I publicly talk to people sounds nice at times.

I'm just really tired these days though.

It sounds like an excuse and it feels like an excuse but it's a truth I hate admitting.

“The gate is opening!”

The rush of female soldiers donning mixtures of metallic armors and dense leathers over looser cloths scramble around the arch of a large stone structure. The structure itself was wedged into an intricate and ornate room, lanterns lining the siding of carefully crafted stone tiled walkways, flickering wildly despite there being no oil source. The ceiling was built in a way to allow light to filter in through layered windows up above, and the light cast itself down from the sun directly onto the smooth texture of the Gate. There upon the Gate’s surface were chiseled symbols and words, a language lost to most of the beings in the room. Yet they all knew what it meant when they started to light up.

The many faces of red look at the shimmering light that filtered in between the Gate’s archway while taking specified places as they’d been drilled for centuries. They waited, for none could tell at first who was connecting with this Gate from their position until it had fully formed. The magical aura the Runes imbued itself with created a curtain eventually. Ripples of the scene that appeared seemed like a faked mirror to most who looked at it, but what it showed on the other side resembled nothing like the ornate room it inhabited. Instead was the drowned landscape of bent over trees hanging desperately to the wet ground their roots had decided to call home. They sway dangerously close to each other and the grass with the long leaves on their branches rustling about. Rain flies into the room with the soldiers, creating more ripples in the imagery and making a mess of the floor around it. A single figure is resembled on the other side. She wore similar armor to the others, her horns blackened against the reds of her face and the whites of her hair. The iris of her eyes glow in comparison to the black sclera and shine brilliantly more as she steps through. 

A designated guard quickly rushes to the Gate’s side, placing a hand on a rune. The Aura starts to retract, taking the curtain imagery along with it until silence is perceived in the room once more.
