~CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION~
The Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration (BSCA) is a four-year college degree course for individuals who wish to pursue a career in custom brokerage or in the field of transportation and supply chain management.

âCustomsâ means the Government Service which is responsible for the administration of Customs law and the collection of duties and taxes and which also has the responsibility for the application of other laws and regulations relating to the importation, exportation, movement or storage of goods.

THE UPs and DOWNs OF BEING A CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION STUDENT
Being a student is fun yet tiring at some times. Each day, you are able to learn different lessons that could possibly help you in the future and mold you to a better version of yourself. Each day, you can encounter difficulties on understanding some lessons such as math and even english at some point.
As you proceed into another year level, it gets harder and harder but remembering the reasons for the thing youâre striving at.. like your family and your dreams, you always do your very best in order to pass and succeed in the life full of assignments, projects, quizzes and exams.
After I graduated in my Senior High School Level, I chose the Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration to be my field/course in my College Years. After learning, Studying and observing. I realized that for a lot of people, theyâve simply been told that school is important and mandatory and they continue living with that mindset without finding truth in it for themselves. But how many of you are in college or University just because your parents told you that itâs the only way to get a job? and how many of you chose not to go post-secondary education and get judgment from peers? We are all stupid in different aspects and categories. Whatâs not okay though is to claim that you are incapable without first trying. So Here are my Ups and Downs of being a Customs Administration Student:
UPs:
1. I am able to know the Different port and Subports in the whole Philippines.
2. I am able to know the organizations, departments, and offices under the Bureau of Customs
3. I am able to learn how to compute the taxes and duties for every entry entering and departing the country.
4. I am able to know the rules and regulations of the Bureau of Customs.
5. I am able to know the association/company associated with Bureau of Customs.
Those are some of the things that I learn and I considered as a positive side of being a Customs Student. There are a lot of things that can be learn for your professional career. You guys will be discovering more about your strengths and weaknesses and as tough as it may seem make the best of it because youâll only get to experience it once. Balance everything most especially your time on things or whatever things you wish to involved in because no matter what, stress will find its way to throw you off. Those things will be part of who will become. As a Customs Student, I always get stressed but when I think about the things I learned because I study hard to achieve it. NOTHING CAN COME EASY so you must work hard for it and to be able to achieve what you actually want. Life is hard and being into COLLEGE is hard as well.Â
DOWNs:
1. I still have difficulties in solving or computing some duties and taxes of different entries entering and departing the Philippine territory.
Yup, it is true. Sometimes being a Customs Students needs a lot of efforts in order to achieve and learn something. Computations is really hard especially if you donât like math and I donât like Mathematics that much because I am having trouble with analyzing and understanding them. It will just make my nose bleed. Even if you know the formulas but at some point youâre still unsure with your answer. I donât know why but there are cases like that.
2. I canât really memorize some theories about Customs Â
Yes, you heard it right. I am having trouble memorizing those things because Itâs just so hard alright. There are just too many complicated words that I really canât understand but atleast I tried.Â
3. I still donât get the idea of import and exportÂ
Only because, what I thought before that if the cargo is going outside the country it is already export but if the cargo will be here in the Philippines only then it will be export. Thatâs what I thought but there are a lot of things to consider before you can actually call them an export or import and thatâs where things gets harder. The things to be consider is that hard to know and understand because it is very confusing.
4. I still donât know the positions in the organization and what are their roles Â
I am still having trouble with knowing what kind of organizations and positions and their roles to enhance and improve the Bureau of Customs. I feel like Iâm a useless Customs Student. There are too many people handling and working in the Bureau and I am having a hard time knowing them one by one but I need to so I must study about them and their works because I am going to be part of the organization soon if given a chance to passed.
5. I still donât understand why we are called as corrupts.Â
Yes, they always said that Customs are corrupts. Like they generalize it but maybe there are some but the thing is.. not all. What would you feel if you are called as one of the corrupt? You wonât feel happy right? Itâs okay because we the new generation are going to prove to everyone that we are not corrupts. Donât judge a book by its cover.
ALL THE EXPERIENCES AND CHALLENGES WILL MOLD YOU AS A BETTER PERSON IN THE FUTURE AND ON YOUR FUTURE CAREER. YOU BETTER DO YOUR BEST AND LEARN FROM IT. I AM JUST LIKE YOU. THEREFORE LETâS MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE AND A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE. THANK YOU FOR READING AND KEEP UP WITH ME..
HAVE A COMMENT AND I WILL TRY TO ANSWER. TILâ NEXT TIME!!!!
