01.11.2024 // Itās been a while sinceā¦
I posted something in this blog. Lately, Iām searching for something to motivate me and I guess that keeping track of my study habits back again can help me get back on track.

five tips for study marathons
In Belgium we have this thing called āblokā. Itās the name for the two to three weeks of marathon studying between the end of classes and the start of exams, related to the verb āblokkenā, which basically means āhardcore studyingā. Itās obviously not a very pleasant time, so here are some tips to survive those study marathons!
1. Hydrate. Of course has been said again and again, but thatās because itās so important! I usually get myself either a half-liter pint and a (reusable!) straw. Straws really help me to drink more, but theyāre not very good for the environment, so if you can get your hands on a reusable one, go for it! You can also try adding fruit to your water for some extra flavour.
2. Breathe ouside air at least once a day. I donāt care how you do it. Take a walk at noon, go on a morning run, breathe really deep when youāre in line for the library, stick your head out of a window, I donāt care. Just do it. You need the oxygen and itās not good to sit inside all day.
3. Donāt wear stuff you sleep in. Now, Iām not saying you canāt wear pjs. What Iām saying is, donāt wear the pjs you wore to bed. Not even if you study at home. Donāt do it. Make sure your brain knows that studying and sleeping are two very different things.
4. Get off your butt during breaks. Sometimes when Iām on a roll at the library, I can study a whole afternoon, with breaks only to go to the bathroom and to refill my waterbottle/make new tea. It works, because I walk around. Point being, have a dance break! Go for a walk! Move!
5. Sleep is useful. I get that if you have an exam the next day and you really need to finish this last chapter, you stay up until 3am. But otherwise, donāt do that to yourself. You can do that tomorrow morning. Your brain needs sleep, youāre not wasting time. Promise. Take care of yourself.
I hope these are useful! You can do this!

This is about Sci-Hub. yeah we get it.. gatekeep knowledge and protect the interests of capitalā¦
Listen, this is serious.
Do not use the website called Sci-Hub!
It lets people access scientific articles for free. This is dangerous. It helps the free flow of knowledge and reduces the competitive edge of all the people who worked really hard to have been born into a wealth.
Like, itās literally a website where you can type in the DOI of an article and read it, without ever having to pay the publisher who exploited the author.
So, again, do not, under any circumstance, use Sci-Hub. I mean, can you imagine a world where knowledge is free and easily accessible to everyone? Even, y'know, poor people?
Libgen also has many books online, including textbooks, searchable by name, author, and ISBN. Can you imagine textbook companies not getting their hard-earned income from poor college students? Here is the link just so you make sure that you never accidentally stumble across this horrible, unethical website.
Oh, and while weāre talking about books, if youāve managed to stay clear from Libgen, definitely donāt go to zlibrary, where you can also find a lot of textbooks, but unfortunately theyāre completely free.

āStay. The sky is a lot more heavenly with you still under it.ā -Eloise Night
How to describe January so far? Cold winter days, cold cheeks and just a lot of studying to do while trying to stay sane and not lose myself in negative thoughts (bc weāre trying to leave that back in the hell hole of 2020 lol)
Iāve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:
IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.
1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.
2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? Itās the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.
3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word āsuicide.ā
4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, āPass the URL of the blog on to us.ā
5. Type in the userās URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.
TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USERāS LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.
Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isnāt a joke, and neither is someoneās life. If you didnāt know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.
why on earth doesnāt this have more notes
I actually had to do this once. She lived.
if you scroll past this on your dash you are absolutely heartless.
Reblog this!! This can save somebodyās life!

I SWEAR TO GOD IF ANYONE SCROLLS PAST THIS WITHOUT REBLOGGING I WILL LITTERALLY FIND THEM AND GIVE THEM A LECTURE

Anyone know where it is on mobile ???
You report the user, choose āsomething elseā, scroll down and choose āsuicide or self harmā
DO NOT SCROLL DOWN
REBLOG TO LITERALLY SAVE A LIVE
To add onto this I recommend using the site 7-cups, itās a ātherapyā like platrform that allows you to talk to other people and rant about your feelings if you feel as though you or people you know are getting to this state. There are actual therapists on the site(if you can pay!!) but if you donāt have the budget you can still talk to the non professionals and participate in the group chats!
