Court of darkness princes + Lou discover gingerbread houses

Fenn: IT’S CHRISTMAS GUYS

Lou: christ…mas?

Fenn: it’s a holiday where treasure’s from

Toa: from what she has told me, people from earth usually exchange gifts, decorate a tree and create a gingerbread house.

Roy: she has told me that she wishes to eat gingerbread but hasn’t had the time to make some.

Guy: how trivial. I’ll order Jasper to deliver some to her room.

Fenn: *sighs* as practical as ever

Rio: I think we should bake it ourselves. Think she would like it more!

Roy: I too believe she would appreciate the sentiment 

Lynt: shall we make a gingerbread house for her then?

Rio: I’ve got the recipe!

Lou: have you made this before master Voleri?

Rio: I haven’t, but I’m sure with six minds it can’t be hard to make.

Toa: let’s away to the kitchen then

In the kitchen…

Guy: how do you understand this recipe. What is a tablespoon?

Rio: let me assist you

Guy: do not interfere. Just tell me which one is the “tablespoon”

Rio: THAT’S A SPATULA

Roy: headmaster… I think you’ve stirred it a bit too hard

Lou: I would like to put my best effort into it

Toa: that is too much. Do you plan to spill all the batter over the whole tabletop?

Fenn: Lynt, come help us 

Lynt: my arm is tired

Toa: all you did was measure the milk

After a lot of time and Rio basically remaking the whole thing, they managed to produce edible gingerbread.

Lynt: we did it!

Guy: you didn’t do anything

Toa: it’s not over yet. We have yet to assemble it into a gingerbread house

Roy: what manner of house do you think she would like?

Fenn: I imagine she would like a nice little cottage

Lou: and her favourite colour is black so we should drizzle black icing over it

Fenn: …we can’t make a black house

Guy: it’ll look more like a funeral home rather than a Christmas decoration 

Roy: I thought her favourite colour was yellow

Lynt: isn’t it orange?

Rio: there are chocolates of all different colours. We can use it to make a rainbow brick roof!

In the end, their gingerbread house looks like this:

They present their gingerbread house to the MC and poor MC has to try not to burst out laughing.

The court of darkness men as ugly fashion pieces I hate

Guy-

Guy looks like a fedora guy, and I don't like Fedoras. Wearing this just makes you look like an old grandpa I'm sorry.

Fenn-

He thinks he's such a fashionista. What's the point in wearing pants if your whole leg is exposed anyway. Jeans with too many holes are an ick. I want to cut through all the holes and leave just one giant hole.

Toa-

He wears these elf looking shoes thinking he's so cool. Who even designed this? Why is it so flat and pointy and peeling off at the back??? I'm sorry but this looks like the kind of shoes Jesus wore in his lifetime.

Lynt-

Christmas shirts. This looks like something Tino gave to Lynt to wear as pyjamas to increase his festive spirit. It's arguably not as bad as the other ones

Roy-

Ugly platform crocs. I know he wears these in his house when he's alone. He probably has a charm collection too that he puts on the crocs in a rotation. The finest invidian craftsmanship wasted on this monstrosity

Rio-

Jorts. I actually hate jorts. They're just not long and not short and it bothers me??? Jeans were not meant to be this length. I have no words. Tino probably wears these on his day offs too.

Knight-

Doesn't this sweater remind you of knight? I'm sorry Knight, but rainbow argyle...... it's an interesting design choice.

Jasper-

This skeleton onesie just reminds me of Jasper. I don't think he'd actually wear this, but he probably has one in the back of his closet.

Lou-

Poor Lou. He asked what was in with the young people these days and they told him Gucci. So he went and bought this thing. Why is this Gucci stripe still being implemented into their products. It's just so out of place and random. Like why does there have to be red and green in the middle??? I can't afford Gucci, but I'm still a hater 😙

He’d be excited to be handcuffed to anyone tbh

Probably chooses Guy because why not?

It’s not often he gets to be so close to Guy and I’ve seen him flirt with Guy before 🫣

Lynt

It’s a tough choice

Guy smells nice 

But Toa is chilly so he’s the perfect temperature 

He just chooses the one closest to him

Would also rule out Roy because thinks Roy worships Guy

No way would he let himself get chained up with Fenn because Fenn would probably take it as an invitation…

Considers Lynt for a moment before he realises he would have to drag Lynt around on the floor like a human mop

Realises he’s probably going to have to pick Roy as the safest option

Tbh I haven’t seen many Roy and Fenn interactions so I would want to see them together 

But Roy would probably pick Guy 

Just so he can admire his work ethic and take notes 😍

The ikevamp residents lost in a forest pt 2

edit: sorry guys I accidentally wrote pt1 in the tital initially. A short fic continuing the initial dialogue I posted before. It seems I really enjoy writing things on a whim because I wrote this randomly just now in like thirty minutes 🤣🤣. Enjoy :)

Napoleon, Isaac and Sebastian trudged along a small dirt path they’d found. Around them, the endless identical tall trees would’ve gotten them lost a long time ago if Isaac hadn’t pointed the path out. They’d walked for ages and the chilly night air began to worry them.

“Hey look over there, a cave.” Isaac gasped, pointing ahead.

The two other men looked over to where he pointed and also noticed the path they followed stopped in front of a small sized cave.

“Good spotting Isaac. It is getting dark so why don’t we stop for the night inside?” Napoleon suggested

All of them agreeing, they proceeded up to the entrance of the cave and Sebastian peered inside first.

“There’s no one in, it should be safe.” Sebastian announced.

They entered the cave, looking around its empty walls. Although it looked small from the outside, the inside looked decently spacious; it sufficed as a space for them to rest. Isaac took a seat on the hard ground, slumping against the wall.

“Finally, we’ve been walking for ages.” Isaac breathed out.

“To think there’d be such a vast forest around here unknown to even Comte and Leonardo when they’ve been living here for so long.” Sebastian murmured to himself. “Nevertheless I agree with you Sir Isaac, it feels good to take a break here.”

“Yes you two have a break here. I’m going to check out the forest a bit more. Stay here okay?” Napoleon said.

Isaac’s eyes widened.

“Wait what!”

“What’s wrong? Are you scared,” Napoleon teased, but then his expression turned serious. “I’m just going to look around once more, try to see if there’s a way out.”

“We can do that tomorrow, together. And yes I’m scared, I’m scared for you as well. Who knows what you might face out there alone in the dark?” Isaac reasoned.

“Besides, how much can you even see right now. It’s almost completely dark.” Sebastian added.

He looked outside and the darkened sky; he really couldn’t see much. He sighed but sat himself down against the wall beside them, smiling.

“Okay I’ll stay with you guys.”

“So uh, since we have so much time, Sebastian tell us about the future.”

Sebastian’s eyes brightened and he opened his mouth, “Well for starters, you’re both highly respected, household names. Although, I’ve heard of students wanting to throw apples at your head Sir Isaac.”

“What? I cant believe that people took that apple thing all the way to the 21st century. I guess it’s not just Arthur and Dazai..” He shook his head.

“Why would they want to do that to him though?” Napoleon asked.

“Well, one of the reasons is that he basically is recognised as the founder of calculus, which is now a significant part of mathematics, physics and other areas. Thus, since education is an essential part of life in the 21st century, most students are forced to study it, and it’s not the most interesting or easiest concept to grasp for most,” Sebastian explained.

“Well why are they hating me, I’m not forcing them to study it.” Isaac muttered.

Napoleon draped an arm around the deflated boy’s shoulders.

“I may not know whatever this calculus thing is but I’m sure you made a very admirable discovery. I know you’re a bright person Isaac.”

“Yes I did say you are still a widely respected person Sir Isaac.” Sebastian smiled and whispered, “And one of my most favourite people in history that I still can’t believe I have the chance to talk to.”

“Alright, alright, I’m fine, you don’t need to comfort me.” Isaac brushed it off but internally, he did feel grateful for their words.

And so they shared more heartfelt conversations that night until they eventually fell asleep.

Rating the court of darkness suitors and their routes

I did not expect this to be so long but it turns out I have a lot to say about them I guess 🤣🤣. Anyways this is just my two cents so don’t take this so seriously. Enjoy~

Guy-

I haven’t played his main route, but I don’t really like him as he‘s too demanding and domineering for me personally. I also low key hold a grudge against him because I remember reading about how he kidnapped me but I can’t remember where I read it from lol. At least his event routes are interesting and he has his moments.

Main Route- haven’t played

Personality- 4/10

Lynt-

He’s such a cutie, and I appreciate his kindness and him being the peacemaker. However, because of his reluctance to do any work in general, I felt his main route kind of lacklustre and didn’t have much conflict going on. The end especially didn’t feel as exciting as it should have been. I also really admire hard workers haha so he’s not really it for me.

Main Route- 4/10

Personality- 7/10

Fenn-

Such a flirt who sometimes steps out of line, but most of the time he’s alright and will try respect your boundaries (note the word try). I did enjoy reading his route, and I liked to see his vulnerability we don’t often get to see. I just didn’t like the ending (do I just have high expectations for endings LOL). There were so many unanswered questions and not in a good way although I can’t remember what they were since I played it quite a while ago.

Main Route- 8/10

Personality- 7/10

Toa-

I like Toa. At first it was because he seemed like the only prince who would actually answer my questions (cough cough Fenn, Guy and Lynt), but I soon came to love him for his hidden kindness for me and his hard work and determination. He also changes over his route and, character development is amazing. In the beginning, he’s so rigid and stiff, only ever doing things that benefit his country because of the way he was raised (by an abusive family 😡😡). I remember him telling me that he used to get locked out of the castle when he was young and it broke my heart. Anyways back to my point. Slowly, and in an understandable, actually believable way, he finally started to think for himself which is just amazing. I just love when he slams the door on Idina at the end hehe.

Main Route- 9/10

Personality- 9/10

Roy-

Roy is another prince I like. He’s such a sweetheart and the definition of a prince. I don’t remember much of his route but it was a pretty pleasant read I recall. Even in other routes, he’s super supportive of the MC no matter what she chooses (It really hurt me when the MC couldn’t return Roy’s love in Lynt’s path :((( ).

Main Route- 8/10

Personality- 8/10

Rio-

Rio is so precious and oh so oblivious which is what makes him endearing I suppose. He’s just not particularly my cup of tea although I have no problems with him, especially as he’s such a great friend. I’m currently reading his route and it’s pretty good so far. However, I’m wondering what the main conflict is going to be and if it’s going to involve and change Rio in any way since it seems like the conflict is really just affecting the MC.

Main Route- 5/10

Personality- 6/10

Grayson-

I’m sorry I almost forgot about Grayson forgive me 😔. I love Grayson too though lol. He’s so shy, cute and selfless I can’t help it. Overall, his route was pleasant, and I enjoyed learning about his struggles with not being able to use magic and how he became more confident in himself over time.

Main Route- 7/10

Personality- 8/10

Jasper-

He’s alright I guess. He knows how to read the room and is adept in his own ways. I also appreciate the kindness he shows, but he just seems really shady to me for some reason lol. Especially when I read about his secret identity and saw him in a suspicious looking wig. Maybe once I read his route I’ll finally figure him out. Although, I’m not really drawn to his route because of his connection to Guy who I’ve mentioned above is not someone I’m particularly fond of.

edit: Against the warning of the comment below… I read his route. It was really hard to read in the beginning as I was really uncomfortable with the way Jasper was so sly, lowkey manipulative and pushy over the MC yet somehow she falls for him??? And how was MC’s main concern how Jasper liked Guy way better than her. Like they’ve known each other for years, and he’s literally his valet, what do you expect. It got easier to read later as the plot thickened and that kept me reading I guess.

Main Route- not played (edit: 4/10)

Personality- 4/10

Knight-

He’s so adorable and I love his determination to become a better valet. His fondness over cats is also very endearing and he seems the most normal out of the bunch. I haven’t read his route yet, but I don’t know if I will since I kind of can only see him as a younger brother now. I’ll try it out though.

edit: I actually really enjoyed his route surprisingly. Like wow there was a lot of info about his background i wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t read this. Very well written. My only complaint is that I wish he stayed short and didn’t have to grow :( I love short knight.

Lance- (sorry I realised I didn’t add Lance the first time)

Lance is also one of my faves. He acts all gruff and cold but inside he’s actually a softie with such a soft spot for animals. His route actually made me see him for once. I honestly didn’t really know anything about his existence before but now he’s just taken my heart 🥲.

Flat earth short ikevamp fic

I thought to write a short fic about the debate around whether the earth is round or flat inspired by this. Happy reading :)

For once, the dining table is quiet, and all thirteen of the vampires are gathered for dinner in honour of Shakespeare’s temporary stay, much to Theo’s displeasure. The only sound heard is the sound of forks and knifes clanking onto their round white plates and the occasional “pass the salt”.

Arthur is the first to break the silence, “Say Newt, the Earth is flat isn’t it.”

“What are you? Three? How don’t you know the shape of Earth?” Theo grumbles.

Isaac slowly lifts his head and peers up from his green peas. He sighs.

“I thought everyone knew the Earth is in fact not flat at this point.”

Dazai feigns a dramatic gasp, “How can that be. The ground beneath us is flat, and the streets outside are flat. Ai-kun I think your eyesight’s finally failing you. It’s about time anyway considering how you’re technically well past you’re 300th birthday”

Jean shuffles his feet under the table, frowning.

“The world is round then? How’s that even possible.” He mumbles, barely audible, yet Napoleon hears and speaks up on behalf of his shy friend.

“Alright can someone please elaborate on this round earth thing.”

Isaac explains. “Essentially, the Earth is actually a constantly rotating globe- not a flat disk. Around 300 BC Greek philosophers were already gaining empirical evidence after travelling to Egypt and seeing new constellations of stars, and in the third century BC, the circumference of the Earth was even calculated.”

“What..“ Mozart trails off while Vincent and Jean could only stare at Isaac like he’d grown two heads.

Chuckling, Leonardo adds, “A good place to start is with a Foucault’s pendulum, his pendulum, which can swing in any plane, changes direction during the course of a day, which gives direct evidence of the Earth’s rotation.”

“How does that prove the Earth is round.”

“Because-“

Sebastian clears his throat and speaks up.

“If I may add my input. I believe this will make it easier for you to understand what they are trying to say. Even though we can’t see the shape of the Earth from in the sky right now there are still some methods you can use to see the round earth for yourself. If you ever visit a harbour and watch a ship sail off into a sea, you’ll notice the ship doesn’t disappear but it actually appears to sink- like you’re watching something go over the other side of a hill which can only be explained by a sphere shaped earth.”

“Yes and if I may add, the Earth isn’t perfectly round. It’s squished near the poles and more swollen near the equator.” Isaac nods.

“Wow.. I just wanted to annoy Newt, but now I feel ten times smarter my head’s about to explode. Anyways, if you‘re ever on the hunt for a new non-flat thing to study, my ass is always up.” Arthur laughs.
