pidge’s posture is notoriously shitty, so sometimes lance will sit right behind her while she’s working so that she can lean back against his chest and keep her back straight.

he almost always falls asleep before she’s done, but pidge just tucks her head under his chin and wraps his arms around her waist and takes advantage of the extra cuddling time. it’s not like he’d mind. 

pidge was ridiculously nervous about the thought of their first kiss, and even though she didn’t want to say anything, lance picked up on it. so they came up with a system where pidge would tug on his hair every time she wanted to stop whatever was happening. 

the first time they tried, he kissed across her cheeks and only got as far as the corner of her mouth before pidge asked him to stop

lance doesn’t even mind. it’s strangely satisfying to slowly work up to it, and lance’s heart soared the day when he finally got to kiss her properly and she wrapped her arms around his neck instead of pulling at the roots of his hair. 

lance tries not to fret over pidge, but sometimes she looks so small and young in her paladin armor that he can’t help himself. so before every mission, he presses his lips to her forehead and mutters a short prayer that his abuelita told him to say whenever he needed strength. pidge isn’t big on religion, but it means a lot to lance and she swears that when he pulls away, she feels safer. 

they’re always the first two to sneak off during diplomatic dinners – lance because his attention span is pitifully short and pidge because she can’t stand fake pleasantries for more than a few minutes at a time. they usually end up poaching the leftovers from the feasts and end up on a balcony or hiding under a table just talking until the meetings are over. 

lance ends up spoiling pidge because it gets to the point where she doesn’t need him to fall asleep, but she definitely prefers to sleep tucked into the crook of his neck and draping her limbs over him. 

and it’s so stupid because pidge never really liked being affectionate with anyone who wasn’t family, and all of a sudden lance makes her feel so touch starved without him and it’s so annoying but it feels nice when his arms just open for her whenever she needs it. 

lance: come on. say it. 

pidge: no

lance: please? just once. you can whisper it and i’ll pretend i never heard it. 

pidge: … …. i really like you… 

lance: what was that? sorry. guess i didn’t hear it. what a shame ;)

lance: …but i really like you too <3

Positive Voltron Thoughts

So would anyone like to point out some of the things they did like about season 8?

I’ll go first!

-Lance and Allura dated! And kissed!! All the fluuuufffff!

-Omg the colors and battle sequences holy shit, absolutely beautiful and breathtaking

-Atlas + Voltron = one thick robot boy!! Voltlas? Attron? Super awesome!

-Baby Lotor omg so freaking cute

-As a parent let me be honest, Honerva’s quest is so freaking relatable. I can completely understand why she is doing what she is, and…Part of me cant exactly fault her for it.

-Shiro got to fly with them again!! Yay!!

-Allura got to see her father again! Oh I bet that made her feel so much better, just to get to hug him again.

-All the paladins getting to fly with the previous paladins, omg it was so cool!!

-Honerva looked like such a freaking Queen!!!holy cow, mrs Badass.

-Lance gets little Altean marks!!! Omg I always saw fan art about it and then it actually happened holy shit!!

-Colleen and Pidge, omg that’s where Pidge gets her attitude from! And Romelle hiding behind Allura because she was terrified of Colleen haha!

-Pidge visibly giving up her feelings for lance (while handing over the video game to trade for Allura’s date outfit) so Allura could look pretty for her date with Lance. It was kind of sad to watch, but im super proud of how mature Pidge was!

-Kinkade and his camera about a day on Atlas! Omg that whole episode was just gold.

-Lance gets to basically retire and relax and do whatever he wants in life in the end. (As a farmer is iffy BUT if that’s what he wanted, at least he got it!)

-Krolia and Kolivan becoming the Galra representatives!! I think they eventually get together too *my secret ship*

-Ezor apparently stopped fighting and wanted a peaceful life?? And then Zethrid finally calming down to get back together with her??

-Veroniza and Axca, totally going to be a couple! I honestly think that’s who Veronica was asking Lance about but he thought she was asking about Keith

-Allura just the whole season, proving how amazing and strong she is. Taking in the rift darkness creature but not allowing it to corrupt her like Zarkon and Honerva. And then being able to turn it all around and forgive Honerva, to try and change her mind, and they both sacrifice themselves? She is such a powerful, amazing woman.

-There at the end you could see Allura’s shape in the galaxy/nebula! I really want to believe that means she isnt really dead and she’ll find a way to come back somehow!

-We DID get a gay wedding and kiss! It may not be what we wanted exactly but we did get it (plus what looked like a kind of butt grab!)

-The reference to the old tv show, and Pidge dressing up/talking like the old Pidge! That was pretty funny

-Coran acting like the overprotective father to Allura, and then the picture of him and Alfor in the background! I wonder if Coran didnt uh…maybe have a little crush on Alfor

-Honerva finally got to be reunited with Zarkon and Lotor, and Lotor looked so soft and sweet taking his mom’s hand

Im tired and that’s all Ive got so far but please, add on your favorite parts as well!!

-All the friendship moments and GOOD CHARACTER INTERACTIONS MY GOSH I WAS LIVING

-Lance with all the kids... mmmm good stuff

-all of their character development. I loved it, you can see how far they've come

Listen. I watched Season 8. I loved it. I’m happy. I’m not disappointed in the show, I’m disappointed in all the fans exclaiming how it was terrible when me and my friends that watched it together were cheering until the end. We love all these characters. We’re happy Shiro got married, showing kids gay marriage is okay. He was a character that fought alongside with them as well. All the characters got their time. I’m happy for all. 

Ya’ll can go off all you want, but it’s not going to change the good impact it did have on others. Like myself and my friends. You all are free to be unhappy, go ahead because it wasn’t Adam, Shiro married, and/or because of Allurance. Let the hate rule you like it did Honerva. But others are loving it, and as we have to deal with your disappointing hate on the last season, you all should deal with our love for it.

Of course, not every show was perfect. This reboot wasn’t perfect from it’s super cheesy beginning, and it improved and failed in different ways but I still loved it. 

This show made me meet incredible friends, artists, and writers, and til the end, I loved it since I watched the first episode.

Unpopular opinion

THIS SEASON WAS FINE! THE ALLURANCE MADE SENSE, IT WAS FAST BUT SOMETIMES LOVE IS THAT WAY! EVERYONE'S CHARACTERIZATION WAS BETTER THAN LAST SEASON (except for hunk but that's because last season was his time to shine so of course he's going to get less screentime, and what he got was still in character and awesome). I WAS SUPRISED IN A GOOD WAY WHEN ALLURA WAS KILLED, I THOUGHT IT WAS GOOD THAT SOMEONE IMPORTANT WAS KILLED, AND DIDN'T COME BACK TO LIFE! LANCE AS A FARMER MAKES SENSE, DIDN'T YALL SEE HOW HE WAS WITH KALTINECKER? HE DESERVED A BREAK AND THAT'S WHAT HE CHOSE! THERE WERE SO MANY GREAT IDEAS THIS SEASON THAT FIC WRITERS CAN GO OFF OF! ASTRAL PLANE? OLD PALADINS? AND FOR CHARACTER INTERACTIONS THAT CARNIVAL THING?

Like I get nothings perfect, this season definitely could be improved, but COME ON!

THE ONLY THING I WAS ANNOYED ABOUT THIS SEASON WAS ALL THE GIANT ROBOTS, AND EVEN THEY WEREN'T TOO BAD

The most disappointing thing about this season-

It wasn’t Allurance…

It was this shit-

Honestly it broke my heart-

After all that (torture) Lance is forever in a bittersweet reality that he can’t be in love, he may be surrounded by Allura, and the things she loved, but it’s just like a widow. He can never have her, never hold her again, and he’s constantly reminded of the love of his life.

This isn’t like Adam, Adam didn’t save the Universe. He isn’t a part of everywhere you go, and I think that’s why Shiro is able to move on. And Lance, he just he can’t, he just hangs on to Allura cause there isn’t any way to move on. He just lives a sad but happy life on the outside.

He can never be truly happy because the only thing that made him happy is Allura, and she’s dead. There is no character development Lance will and always hang on to her till he’s at his last breath…

And honestly that’s so fucked up, I can’t even begin to tell you…

Dude no, give Lance some respect. Did you see him at the end of the season? He's happy! He doesn't need a woman to make him that. It's perfectly understandable for him to want to honor her memory and do what she would've wanted. That's a normal thing with grief. He can be, and is, happy without her. Tbh him being a farmer makes sense too, we saw how he loved kaltinecker. It's a peaceful life that he chose and that he enjoys. The show did his character justice.

My Season 8 thoughts: Lance

I’m back at it again with MY THOUGHTS, MY OPINIONS about season 8. I’m going to make them separate because it will get way to long.

Let us start with the first thing that hit us, which was, Lance’s feelings

Let’s begin,

Lance’s feelings.

It starts with Lance being sad and all about not being with Allura.

 I’m not going to lie, Lance was super cute with Allura and I clutched my heart with every word he said, because he’s such a good boy. BUT, things don’t add up. In season 7, he literally didn’t pay attention to her at all and was even denying his feelings towards her.

but okay, then we see Lance get courage to take Allura out for diner and they kiss at the end of their date. It was so cute and honestly, Vee el dee should have let them end up together if they were going that route. I mean, they were already a couple, but who am I to judge.

So let’s move to another Strong opinion I have and it’s 

Where the F**ck is Lance’s endgame?

Also, while in the topic of endgames and romance. Yes, I’m going to talk about KLance because wtf. lol

but okay. They romanticized Klance so hard it honestly was such a huge queer bait. Keith praised Lance, smiled at him more times and was there when Lance was feeling down more than Allura ever did in the whole show. I would have been fine with A//urance if they would have done it right, but they didn’t. They didn’t do A//urance right, and they didn’t do Klance right either. and at the end they left him alone, as an Altean.

Which moving on,

how and why… I have no idea, but it will come in handy for them future fan fics, if you know what I mean dnbksdjb

In my personal opinion, Lance could have grown so much more, he could have made such an impact, but instead they focused him on a girl that only at the last minute did they share a moment. Not to mention, they made Allura look like she needs a man. which, okay then.
