“Yeah, I ain’t doing shit with what they teach me here. Who knows where I’ll end up after Hogwarts.” Chris laughed, “They have a habit of forgetting their manners, I had to remind a kid earlier this month who decided to stand in the corridor and then give me lip when I told him to move.”

Lyra shrugs back. “They all say that. Shit I doodle in my textbooks half the time, while the other sleep and yet, I pass. Fuck them.” Lyra threw the book to the ground as it hit the heel of a third year girl who looked up at Lyra with annoyance. “Fuck off pigface.”

“I don’t pass. I don’t go... to class I mean. It’s... a waste of time.” Chris said with a shrug. “And I’m too thick to catch up anyway. Only didn’t flunk last year because my girlfriend helped and now that she’s pissed off, I’m fucked.” He smirked and jerked his head at the younger girl. “Piss off then.”

“Yes, actually. It is.” Chris said passively, “Nah, nothing they could do. ‘Cept give me calming potion which would only work for a little bit. I’m used to this, you don’t need to worry.”

“Give us a try then, where’d ya get it from? Can you get me some?” He asked, glancing over at her.
