I love the Clarinet. It's what I play at my school. You're amazing! i want to grow up to be like you, were doing a concert on dec 13 and i was wondering are concets realy as scary as my friends tell me?
Yay! I'm glad to meet a fellow clarinet player. I don't think concerts are scary. It's true that when you're playing in a group you feel pressure to do your best, pull your weight, and not let anyone down. My approach is that, all in all, concerts are the exciting time where we get to share our work!
In this way, I have a positive relationship with performing. I do get nervous (everyone does), and I do stress about making sure I'm playing my part, but overall it's mainly just an exciting time to share the work that my friends and I have been doing - and, most importantly, to express myself in ways that I normally cannot.
Good luck, practice your part up until then, and remember the performance will happen the way it needs to. Let me know how it goes!
