*Chris and Helena immediately hold Leon back, the blonde struggling as his gaze is locked on the three*

Leon: I NEED TO DIVE IN THE SEA. I NEED TO GO THERE!

*Leon breaks free*

Leon: I'M GOING!!!

*... And proceeds to dive in the water almost immediately, no shirt or anything*

A Leon Kennedy for Mermay based on that one mod that probably isn't up anymore but was fun while it lasted.

Also: it would have infinitely improved the climactic ending of RE4...xD

- Chris and Piers manage to defeat HAOS like in canon... But don't get out in time. Before Piers could stop him, Chris ends up injecting himself with a strain of C-Virus. The two now infected soldiers hear the sound of water rushing in, slamming against their bodies as the facility collapses around them... Then, nothing. A few weeks later, two chrysalids could be seen huddled together deep within the ruins, positioned almost as if shielding each other.

- Then... One of them starts cracking, followed by the other.

- Chris and Piers are... Well, they could technically be classified as mermen (Gills along their ribs/necks, clothes shredded to nothingness, no legs (or junk), etc), though they're a little bit more... 'feral' than your typical Disney Mermaid.

- Chris' mutation takes on a more bull shark or great white feel, with a shark tail, a dorsal fin along his spine, and sharp teeth/claws. He also tends to act more brute-like and WILL attack if it means his mate's in danger.

- Piers' mutation is more of an electric eel-type. Tail, fins, etc. He tends to fight a bit more ranged, but, like Chris, he too has sharp claws and teeth to attack close range.

- As for humanity? Well... Let's just say, they at least recognize each other. Plus, they both feel an odd... Beckoning. Something deep within the two that tells them to spread. To propagate. To infect.

- Now they patrol the facility ruins they've claimed as a nest, killing any intruder who are unlucky enough to stumble across them (which has led to reports of a few missing scuba divers). Unfortunately, this may have alerted the BSAA... That, plus there have been reports of something... Bigger in the area. Is it all bullshit made up by locals? Who knows...

Probably cause they reused the model for Lemurian Sea God Rafayel from Love and Deepspace...the one who commissioned the mod asked the creator to take it down after they were probably hit with a C&D from the LaDS company.

Finally finished drawing something based on @theclockworkapple 's Resident Evil 4 mermaid/merman AU!

Tail colors were based on this ask:

would luis and leon be wearing their usual outfits as mermen or would they be shirtless like the 3d models (and technically naked since they can't exactly wear pants either pfff)

Leon could technically wear a harness like his RE4 counterpart. In this case however, he'd be completely all natural. (No gear either... And it's less likely he'd get them back soon either...)

Luis? All natural.

In your merman AUs, what colors are Leon and Ashley's tails?

Leon's tail usually ranges from a dark-ish blue (navy or Prussian, something like that) to more an ocean blue. (Really just... Blue fits him the best. Maybe with some grey/black mixed in) (It's not consistent, bare with me)

Ashley's tail is more of an orange or orangish-brown, something akin to the color of her outfit in RE4R. (used to debate between that or possibly green from her skirt. Orange kinda fits her 4R look better overall imo. Maybe a hint of grey?)

- Mer!dads AU (merman!Nivanfield + baby mer!Rose.) (no legs) (debating on semi-pausing this one, again to help ease confusion)

- Professional mer!AU (potentially on semi-pause to help ease confusion between different AUs) (no legs)
