Lovely reminder that Jude has freckles dotted across her body and Cardan canonically traces them. I wonder if he’s reminded of his once horrible fate imbedded in the stars as he looks at her.

Like the constellations that sealed cardans unfortunate prophecy, onto the body of a woman he hated. Only that prophecy turned out to foresee him as a great king, and that woman he would grow to love and rule with.

And Jude referring to mortals and their lives as fleeting, like a shooting star. yeah ok bye. Jude is cardans whole world, their love was 100% prophesied. Canon. Their love goes so deep it was patterned onto Jude’s skin. Yeah. Canon to me idcidc.

Even better if he hated her at first partly for her very human freckles (do the fae have freckles?), because they reminded him of the stars that cursed him (is this peak or what guys)

I know they are all references to Corpse Bride, but I can't stop thinking about Oak and Wren. This song is PERFECT for them. And I am obsessed.

This song is so unintentionally Jurdan coded that every time I hear it I can't help but imagine Cardan thinking it's Jude singing to him from her exile in the mortal world.

Howl’s Moving Castle and The Folk of the Air may seem to be very different stories, and tonally they are.

BUT at their CORE is a self conscious woman in love with a very silly magic man and she is SO mad about it, and the magic man has known they are in love all along and is playing house with her contentedly and when she realizes all this magic man is like “yea duh, idiot. We are in love, catch up. Let’s get married, dummy” but he almost dies first and she has to save his beloved ass.
