Books
@kittyweaveswords beautifully put âŁď¸
The reason I prefer second hand books to brand new books is because there's a feeling of comfort that comes with them- like they've been touched, read and wondered about.
The smell of old books is one of comfort- that which can bring back memories that haven't yet been made.
In my paper bag is a fine list of suggested reads from my peers-
1) The Autumn of the patriarch - Gabriel Garcia Marquez
2) Farenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury
3)Heart of darkness - Joseph Conrad
4)Great Expectations - Charles Dickens
5) Best works of Jane Austen
6) The Bell jar - Sylvia Plath
7)Turning points - APJ Abdul Kalam
8) Brida - Paulo Coelho
9)The Zahir - Paulo Coelho
Not all roads lead to Rome.
Some lead to dead ends.
The scary thing about making decisions is having to live with the consequences. Sometimes, all the hard work, the blood and sweat that goes into something you were sure would yield something substantial will be for nothing. You'll reach a dead end, an impasse, where no matter what you do , you'll feel stuck. You'll feel helpless. You'll feel like giving up.
That's when the real work begins. When you feel like there's no way out. That's when you need to drill a hole, dig a tunnel and break down walls, pave the road.
That's the only way you'll make it through the impasse.

Happiness is not for grabs. It's something you find yourself. Something you work for. It's like a reward of few drops of water after walking through a scorching hot desert, like a rainbow after a storm. It's a few minutes of vanity and validation from yourself.
Happiness looks like a good ol' book in the sweater weather, with a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee to me . đ¤
Wanna collab?
Yeah definitely !
⢠black and white seriesâ˘
There will always be people who try to pull you down, to hurt you when you're already hurting and undermine your abilities. Make sure that these are the people who place the crown on your head when time comes; for to the victor belong the spoils .
â˘black and white seriesâ˘
To be in love is among the most fulfilling yet scary thing anyone can do. It's like taking a leap of faith and hoping you fly rather than fall.
â˘Black and white seriesâ˘
As a child, we often are taught what is good and what is bad. Our moral compass is dictated to us. We perceive things based on what we're taught. Which is why, as children, we are idealistic rather than realistic. We see the good in everything, trust easily, live simply because we believe life to be just that easy and giving.
In your arms was still delight,
Quiet as a street at night;
And thoughts of you, I do remember,
Were green leaves in a darkened chamber,
Were dark clouds in a moonless sky.
Love, in you, went passing by,
Penetrative, remote, and rare,
Like a bird in the wide air,
And, as the bird, it left no trace
In the heaven of your face.
In your stupidity I found
The sweet hush after a sweet sound.
All about you was the light
That dims the greying end of night;
Desire was the unrisen sun,
Joy the day not yet begun,
With tree whispering to tree,
Without wind, quietly.
Wisdom slept within your hair,
And Long-Suffering was there,
And, in the flowing of your dress,
Undiscerning Tenderness.
And when you thought, it seemed to me,
Infinitely, and like a sea,
About the slight world you had known
Your vast unsconsciousness was thrown . . .Â
  O haven without wave or tide!
Silence, in which all songs have died!
Holy book, where hearts are still!
And home at length under the hill!
O mother quiet, breasts of peace,
Where love itself would faint and cease!
O infinite deep I never knew,
I would come back, come back to you,
Find you, as a pool unstirred,
Kneel down by you, and never a word,
Lay my head, and nothing said,
In your hands, ungarlanded;
And a long watch you would keep;
And I should sleep, and I should sleep!
I donât believe that ânothing ever ends poeticallyâ, because in the end, writing things poetically isnât about carving them like a clay jar out of a plain slab. Itâs about describing whatâs already there, capturing the feeling of it. âThe jar is hollow, almost ghostly, in a cold night.â And thatâs why itâs difficult. It is so easy to come up with pretty metaphors, talking about blinking lights and shining streets that mean nothing. But the point of writing something poetically is to impact: to bare the thingâs soul, and for that, you have to understand, truly, what its soul is.
The most underrated act of loyalty is to stay-through good times and the bad times.
There's a kind of selflessness that exudes from this phrase. The portrayal of Snape as a dark and twisted man throws light on what losing your love can do to a person. Not saying your last goodbye, sharing a last kiss, a final hug ; are all among the most painful realities one is forced to live with. So always take the chance to tell someone you love them, that you miss them and that they mean the world to you. The world is a better place with sheer rawness đ¤
The idea of soulmates has everyone thinking it's all heaven and bliss once you find someone who fits the definition. Real relationships have ups and down. Sometimes it's you who can't be there a hundred percent and sometimes it's your partner. It's about facing past demons, demons within us and fighting for eachother to be better, do better. đ¤
Every end is a new beginning.
