I’ve been a die-hard Batman fan since I was 6 years old and Bruce Wayne just got replaced by T’Challa after only seeing the trailer for The Black Panther movie. Like I’ve always loved the complexity of Bruce Wayne. How he could live two entirely separate lives and the only thing that fused the two together was this man’s ego. His style, his wrath. A billionaire philanthropist who was also one of the greatest and most influential heroes of all time. Any and everything he wanted he could have it an instant, he was friends with the most powerful beings in the universe and this man still suffered with loneliness and depression! He made a commitment to fight crime knowing he couldn’t change the world entirely and knowing his efforts were futile but he still persisted because he felt it was his duty to protect those who didn’t have the power to protect themselves. Sometimes he was vain and cocky but his ass would be humbled mad quick. His white male privilege would get checked even though he was aware of his white male privilege and he had to act like he wasn’t aware to keep up his facade. All that intense love for major character development just got  DROPPED because this nigga doesn’t rule his own country, doesn’t own all of its most precious resources and isn’t married to a woman who was revered and worshiped as a goddess! Bruce Wayne who? Batman who? It;s time to redecorate.
