«"The world is under threat. The technology to control another’s will already exists. But it’s not efficient at infecting others. I believe Spencer solved that with Elpis. The Connections sealed Raccoon City to save it for themselves. And it’s been waiting here ever since.."»

〔 SUBJECT FILE: ZENO // REQUIEM ARCHIVE 〕 ⤵️
▌PROFILE
Zeno (ゼノ) : a high-ranking operative within The Connections, an international syndicate operating in the shadows of global biohazard development. Positioned not merely as a soldier but as a financier and overseer, Zeno played a direct role in backing Victor Gideon’s research into Elpis, a rumored virus tied to Oswell E. Spencer’s final ambitions: the control of human consciousness itself.
Unlike the blind followers that typically fill the ranks of such organizations, Zeno operated with calculated intent. He believed in Elpis not as myth, but as evolution - a necessary next step in reshaping human will. This belief, however, became fixation.
His downfall came not from weakness, but from refusal an inability to accept that the foundation of his conviction may have been flawed. When Gideon’s interpretation of Elpis contradicted his own, Zeno chose defiance over truth. The result was catastrophic.

▌BIOLOGICAL NOTES
Zeno’s body mirrors the legacy of Albert Wesker;
Enhanced through a V-ACT mutation triggered by the Prototype Virus during the Spencer Mansion incident, he possesses:
▸ Superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes
▸ Accelerated regeneration and extreme endurance
▸ Altered eye pigmentation (retaining human pupil structure)
Despite visible signs of Raccoon City Syndrome, his condition remains stabilized, the virus adapting rather than degrading his physiology.
However, in a final act driven by obsession, Zeno injected himself with Elpis, believing it would elevate him further. Instead, it nullified his enhancements entirely.

▌ORIGIN STATUS
Unconfirmed.
Zeno bears an unmistakable resemblance to Albert Wesker, both physically and biologically. While never explicitly stated, strong implications suggest he may be a derivative or clone, a manufactured echo rather than an original.
«“You are nothing but an imitation.” - Victor Gideon»
Whether he knew this or chose to ignore it remains unclear.
So I've been playing around with free cam throughout the cut scenes and i think i found something silly. During the scene where Zeno is lighting a cigarette after telling Grace about the clones.
Before he lights it up he looks forward, towards Leon, and then looks at the lighter and towards the ground. Zeno was basically staring at Leon for a second there. And Leon was not looking subtle at all.
But also the fact that Zeno saw him and ignored it too. Which also reminds me of the fact that he stood at ARK and just waited for Grace and Leon to come back? I don't know i found this moment too funny. Warms my heart.
