MeuResumo Beta Launch!

It’s an exciting week, we just launched our beta site!  We’ve spent the last few months testing our problem statement, doing product development, talking to consumers and developing the beta site.

Incredible traction.  We have had a 20% conversion rate on our online campaign!  The goal this next month will be to test our site and product while preparing for our public launch.

14% of Brazilians Have a Smartphone

Google just released global market research on mobile usage via their site (Our Mobile Planet).  Here are some interesting highlights from the data for Brazil;

14% of population has a smartphone

88% of smartphone owners look for local info on their phone

69% stated this was their first smartphone

74% have been using their smartphone less than a year

14 is the average number of apps installed; use 6 actively

54% have made a purchase using their smartphone

To our surprise, 26% use Paypal for purchases!

Launching a Product for Brazil - MeuResumo

We’ve decided on launching our own products!  Incredible, it’s been almost a year since bringing together a great team by forming The Copa Group!  After researching and helping others find solutions, we have committed on focusing on an important area;  mobile and tablet content for the Brazilian market.  There is an explosive growth in mobile/tablets with an opportunity to offer content users will need. This is a major problem that we intended to help solve.

The numbers are incredible! Brazil currently has 90 million users online and this will double in the next couple of years!  There are currently 19 million smart phones in Brazil and this number is growing astronomically!

We've launched MeuResumo (.com)  that will initially focus on summarized business content for students and connected professionals.  There are many companies doing this in the US and other markets.  A major company has just decided to enter the Brazil market, being our sole (major) competitor.  However, we believe we have a few competitive advantages.  More on this later.  We’ve set up a splash page and facebook page to capture interest and provide feedback.  We plan on launching our beta app in the next few weeks! Why we are here

Brazil currently has around 6 million smart phones that can harness either the IOS or Android market.  This market is expected to grow to over 100 million in the next few years!  There will be a need for business and consumers to connect via this new ecosystem.  Basically, we're here to help!
