Soul could be about coming out of depression

Pixar’s Soul could be about depression. In order to go from “the you seminar” to earth is to fill the earth pass, the last thing to find is “the spark”. This spark is either that you’re ready to live or your reason for living.

When they get to “The Zone” and see all those lost souls, they wake a person up from endlessly working by a desk in real life. This means the spark you get can be an almost non-existing flame, but it never quite goes away and can be woken again.

Both Joe and 22 realizes that their reason for living is living in every moment and seeing the wonders of the world, focusing on the good things. Their flames were woken up and they startet enjoying life.

As we saw in the movie, different things can be different people’s sparks. But for some people just life itself is their spark, and just enjoying it is their reason for living.

I’ve had this magpie staying right outside my apartment every night after dark. A few night ago she even brought a friend!! At first I thought it was weird, but now she’s a part of the family and I call her Raven (Ra for short). She also reacts every time I say hello or goodbye, which is quite sweet.

Perhaps it’s the unsettling nature of some of the more popular dream posts, but I always pictured someone like Orson Welles in a dark study with a single desk lamp, cigar in hand and glass of scotch nearby and now knowing it’s someone with an anime voice telling me about furry police encounters makes all of this far more surreal.

Upside (cuz we gotta stay postitive): I’ve been really far down in “the big sad” the past week, so every morning I would put on some clothes that made me feel real sexy, like *wink wink* sexy, even tho I’d stay in all day and not seeing anyone. I had the weirdest dream last night

There was this humanoid creature, his skin was pitch black, he had no face just a pair of big white eyes and he had really long fingers. He was just standing in the middle of my room, watching me in silence.

Surprisingly, I wasn’t scared at all. He looked so peaceful standing there, so I asked him to dance with me. And I think he was a bit confused, like he didn’t expect me to do that. But then he was holding me close and he watched me as I intertwined our fingers.

So yeah, this is the story of how I had a romantic waltz with a demon.

The original story was first published in 1837, so please do correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the majority of literature characters (especially main characters) at that time was white. Besides, her nationality is Atlantican, and most likely North Atlantic because Denmark is in the north, so in my mind it makes sense that’s she’s white

I’m not saying she has to be white at all, I’m just saying her being black is a little tiny step away from the original story

Call me a racist all you want, but if there was a white person playing Pocahontas or Jasmine the conversation would be entirely different because those characters are from countries where the ethnicity isn’t white
