“Dennis,” Robby said– significantly closer than Dennis expected. He startled, sitting upright in the desk chair so quickly it jerked back a few inches. “Just let me give you a ride, alright?” Robby asked, his voice softening. “You can lock me in the car with the windows cracked once we get there if you want, I don’t care, just… let me be there for you.”
It really wasn’t fair how Robby didn’t even say the word please this time, just looked at him like he might, and Dennis’ face still grew hot.
Let me be there for you.
“Jesus,” Dennis said, crossing his arms and averting his gaze, because what the fuck was he supposed to say to that? “Fine.”
Robby looked fucking awfully pleased with himself for a man who had just willingly signed up for a seven hour round trip to Broken Bow, Nebraska. For a funeral. For his coworker’s dad’s funeral.
me, on the floor, crying

michael 'i'll hire someone to do that, relax' robby robinavitch vs dennis 'my man aint getting had by some hack charging $400 for a twenty minute job, baby where's your impact driver and bits' whitaker
pittlings, help me... I saw a fanart of robby breaking up with dennis before sabbatical and when he came back dennis had shaved his hair and i cant find it. help meeeee pls
dennis's parents tried to send him to one of those wilderness camps but severely underestimated how hard dennis can fight back when pushed. by the time his parents come home, they find three unconscious men in the recovery position throughout the house, dennis has already packed a bag, slashed everyone's tires and escaped on his honda.
When Robby and Dennis start dating, Robby becomes happy
He still has bad days, but more often than not, with Dennis around, there are an abundance of good days
He’s in such a good fucking mood all the damn time, he’s patient, he’s kinder to his coworkers, and he’s emotionally regulating and not snapping at people when he gets overwhelmed. Above all, he’s in love
It’s all thanks to Dennis
He immediately gets put on intensive suicide watch because everyone’s so worried about him. Robby has to swear to several people that he's not going to start giving out his stuff or give random presents
He’s slightly offended, but it’s not like the assumptions are unfounded or out of left field
Hello Pittpilled peeps, I'm back. Still haven't watched a full episode but I have a fic concept.
While they're on a break (they had a huge argument about their future together), Dennis gets hurt and completely forgets about their secret relationship. Robby is faced with the choice of never telling him and letting Dennis go for good or telling him and condemning Dennis to live his life being loved behind closed doors (Which Robby is not on board with.)
More fleshing this concept out underneath.
They've been doing the secret relationship thing for a while and Robby is getting antsy. Something happens that causes him to go into a intense self-loathing crisis and the reality of his relationship with Dennis finally hits. Perhaps he loses a lady that never got to be out and proud with her wife, a suicide stemming from workplace bullying because they found out he was sleeping around, maybe it's his birthday and he realises he's got to settled down, something like that.
Basically Robby looks at the logistics of their relationship and thinks he needs to end things.
So he makes a timeline for the end. He spends one week spoiling Dennis to an inch of his life, then the next three slowly becoming more and more detached. Then he invites Dennis over for the final blow.
Only when he lays everything down, Dennis insists he has nothing to lose. He doesn't care if Robby can only love him in the dark, he doesn't care if he gets the rep of being a workplace slut that slept his way into a job if they public. He doesn't care as long as Robby loves him.
Robby is devastated by this. Dennis deserves to be loved properly and he's convinced that Dennis is so used to scraps he doesn't know what he's missing out on. Robby knows they can't go public, not for his sake, but because the idea that every single thing Dennis worked his fingers to the bone for, whether they were together or not, will be attributed to Robby's favoritism post-reveal pisses him off. He gets mad Dennis doesn't understand he should want better for himself, Dennis gets upset that Robby isn't listening to him. After too much arguing where Dennis can tell Robby is being very mean because he wants Dennis to leave him, he declares they're on a break and leaves.
However, he gets hurt getting back home. Maybe it's November and he slips on the icy porch stairs of Robby's town house and collides with a cyclist who just so happens to be riding by, hits his head really bad. Maybe he was crying so hard he didn't realise he was walking somewhere he shouldn't, maybe he just gets mugged.
Either way, Robby finds out and feels responsible. He rushes to Dennis's side but when he finds out that Dennis doesn't remember they're a couple, he's faced with the choice.
Let Dennis go or ruin his life.
Big potential for one-sided unresolved tension and whump if we go the direction of Dennis remembering Robby broke up with him but not having all the details so he thinks Robby just didn't love him the way he though he did.
hello pittpilled people, I dont go here but an fic idea i'd like to run by youse bc I saw two episodes while i was helping my friend move.
robby and abbot have an open relationship with a 'don't tell unless you're having issues with the arrangement' policy. both of them have incredible, knee trembling sex with whitaker, neither one aware of the other one doing this. they both slowly catch feelings and start feeling like they fucked up tremendously. meanwhile dennis is ruining his digital footprint with positions for three players, getting confused about the mixed signals he's getting.
In the middle of a heart to heart where Robby and Abbot are about to confess to one another that they're in love with dennis, the man himself arrives with takeout, comments he's worried the both of them are acting strange and if they changed their mind about him being their third, he gets it.
robby and abbot both realise dennis didn't know they were in an open relationship and assumed that he was seeing both of them.
everyone wants magneto to kill a nazi until a nazi actually dies and then ppl suddenly grow this weird moral backbone of "ok killing is wrong this is too far! freedom of speech!"
exactly. They are all talk. They pretend they love Erik for hunting nazis but when the same thing happens in real life it’s “he had the right to free speech!” But he’s trying to take away the rights and free speech of anyone that isn’t a cis white straight male. “b-but he had a family!” So do women so did the children killed in the school shootings he deemed necessary so does immigrants but he had no problem separating their families so does Palestinians so do anyone in the lgbtq+ community that he said should be stoned to death. He said slavery was bad but “at least black people weren’t committing as many crimes” he said he would force his ten year old daughter to give birth if she were r*ped he was antisemitic. He was evil through and through and he got what he deserved don’t call yourself a magneto fan if you think otherwise.
even sweet peace loving Charles never cared that Erik killed nazis when he saw his memories 😭
modern au fic where newly divorced erik has what was supposed to be an one night stand with charles, who he assumes is a broke, young college grad and becomes absolutely obsessed with him which leads to him trying to sugar daddy him because 'charles, you've glued the soles of these runners back on twice already, please take my debit card and buy yourself some new ones' but charles, heir to Xavier Pharmaceutical Group and patron saint of autism just refuses to get new things because hates change and wearing anything in and thinks erik is trying to prove he's not after charles for his money.
