QuestBar Coconut Cashew
Level of excitement to try this flavor: SO EXCITED. I love coconut pretty much anything. I am an island girl who grew up on the beach so it is kinda in my blood.
Appearance: looks like any other protein bar pretty much a bar of weirdness.
Taste: initially I didn't taste much coconut. It was kinda weird then the coconut hit me and I was like “this is good” about 3-4 bites later I started to HATE the taste. I didn’t even finish. My friend who is with me had his jaw nearly hit the floor because he has NEVER seen me not devour something with coconut. About 1 minute after I stopped eating the bar I got this weird after taste. I do not know if its because I do not like cashews regularly or if I just don’t like this

GET ON WITH THE FITNESS: REALIZATIONS
So this morning I took my dog on a walk. Normally in the hot summer sun I kick her butt during the run (heres to not having a fur coat) but on days where it is cool like today she OWNS me. As I was trying to keep up with my adorable 15 lb dog on a run like a noob I realized something.
We spend all this time making sure our pets are healthy and happy. Why can we not apply the same concept to ourselves?
So most owners think of their pets as part of the family. They are loved and often doted upon. A food doesn’t agree with their system, change it. They seem high strung, take them for a walk. When a dog is thirsty it takes a drink. When its sad it cuddles up with a friend.
Dogs are always happy. They look at the world through a happy carefree lens and every time something makes them happy they show it, practically exuding the phrase “BEST DAY EVER”. As humans (the so called “superior species”) why cant we apply some of those concepts to ourselves. Why can’t we look at a walk as THE BEST DAY EVER. Or when we eat a good meal just think BEST DAY EVER. Why can’t we put the same care into our health that we do to our pets? Think about it. Fit on

shaking doubts and lack of motivation
I have failed so many times in my fitness journey. I am the daughter of 2 obese parents. Luckily growing up my parents nurtured our desire to play sports and being active outside. Statistics show that when both parents are obese their is a 1 in 6 children will be overweight. I have 5 siblings all very fit so who so you think the overweight one was (ME haha).
Despite the fact that I may have been dealt a bad deck of cards I have never stopped fighting my whole life. I may have conceited at times but I always start the fight again. I can honestly say nothing sucks more than starting it all over again, watching all that hard work go down the drain. That is my motivation to keep going, that is my motivation to keep holding on.
So when you find yourself trying to get over that speed bump or pass that road block just remember there are others out there going through the same struggle. Keep going on because beginning again is so march harder than keeping on.
