The world of advertising, marketing, and design are ever-changing and may have already passed your company - you may also see that your strategy is becoming mute or even behind the times. As anAtlanta-based full service creative agency, we give your company the momentum it needs to bridge that gap and to get the conversation started. Moving in the right direction to align with your market is what we bring to the table. As a team with the leading industry knowledge and our fixation with top of the line web design solutions, branding, marketing strategy and simply the best creativity at your disposal, there is nothing that we as a team cannot overcome. As a team...we win.
What if There Was a Better Way?
How much direct mail, e-mails, texts, tweets, and other marketing techniques do you try to accomplish in order to get the message across to your customers? âPeople are constantly bombarded by information that is competing for their informationâ, says Micah Neidhart, founder of Commotion Engine, a company who specializes in animated marketing videos. According to PRWeb you are â53 times more likely to receive a Google first page rankingâ with an explainer video. Â What does your websiteâs landing page look like and are you really capturing your audienceâs attention? Â If you are spending money trying to attract customers to your website, the last thing you want is for them to leave. According to a comScore study, âpeople were over 2x more likely to visit a site upon seeing a video than control subjects who had not watched the videoâ. Â So what if there was a better way to reach your customers? Â Well, there is and statistically you cannot afford to miss out. Â The Creative Momentum has partnered up with Commotion Engine in 2012 because âwe see the value in explainer videosâ, says Michael White, Vice President of Sales and Customer Relations at The Creative Momentum. Â âThe first time we involved Commotion Engine with one of our projects, the reaction to everyone I showed was incredible and it only solidified our decision to partner with themâ, says Michael. âIt is much more engaging for customers to watch a video or try to understand an idea through a video and our day to day lives are now more busier than ever, so we do not have time for anything elseâ, says Michael. Â âeMarketer estimates that 54% of North American companies planned to invest more in videos as website content this year (2012)â. Â So that means that your competitor is more likely to do an explainer video. Â The process for getting an explainer video is quite simple and all you have to do is reach out to us to get started:Â http://thecreativemomentum.com/contact/
âBack to Schoolâ â Did you knowâŠ
This week was the first week back to school for Fulton County and anyone with a commute is wishing otherwise. Parents with younger children are happy that they now have time to themselves, while parents with older children are wondering if their children will survive college. Speaking of college, did you know that according to a US News article, 2012 Best Colleges rankings, The Art Institute of Atlanta was one of the contenders? As a matter of fact did you know that The Creative Momentumâs CEO attended the Art Institute of Atlanta and was awarded Outstanding Contribution to the College in Multimedia and Web design? When Carl Widdowson, CEO of The Creative Momentum, was asked âWhat did you think about The Art Institute of Atlanta and how it impacted you as a designer?â, he replied with the following: âThe Art Institute of Atlanta played a crucial part in reshaping and remodeling the way I envision and execute my designs and will always be grateful for their teaching philosophy. The Art Institute of Atlantaâs ideology pretty much shaped the foundation for my obsession for anything design related, interactive, branding, etc⊠It wasnât the tools they taught- the Adobe Suite, Painting, and Art History, but they were always on your back, saying âthis wouldnât be acceptable to the clientâ. Aarron Walterâs for example made us work from notepad so that we learned and understood the markup (the engine under the hood per say). If you were a mechanic and you had a car to fix, you would need to know the engine before you can fix it. He was great in always thinking from the clientâs perspective. This goes for Mr. Doodoo, our Typography instructor, and he had no patience â I loved this guy. He would make all of the students print their work out in nice expensive prints, which we put on the wall. Mr. Doodoo would walk in with a big black marker and he would draw a large black âXâ on the print. Which when you are in college that print expense took away from what you ate that week. So he would draw that âXâ and would say âthis is crapâ. This always stuck with me because it couldnât be farther from the truth. When you show a client your work â it better be worth a damn or they will take their money else where and rightfully so. The great thing is that all of the instructors I encountered all shared the same passion, which is rare. I will always be grateful for their inspiration, leadership and their knowledge of the industry that help shaped my skills and ambitions by attending The Art Institue of Atlanta.â
Behind the Brand
The Creative Momentum was our choice from the beginning and our team decided on the name of our creative agency because we believe in our team. The name was very important, as it is for any company starting up. In our situation it was a little different in the fact that we had over 80 clients from the beginning- clients that we have developed close relationships with since our consulting days. We wanted the name to represent an effect that we will distill in our customers. A name that would react to our customersâ needs, because in many cases a customer comes to us from a lack of tender, love, and care (TLC), and the close attention it needs to stay alive in a volatile marketplace.
So letâs break it down. âTheâ is to indicate the best-known, with a specifying or particularizing effect, as opposed to the indefinite or generalizing force of the indefinite. It creates a monumental buildup for âCreative Momentumâ. For example: âTheâ Sun, âTheâ Alps, âTheâ Duke of Wellington. Creative is self-explanatory in that we provide the best original and high quality designs for the right price. Momentum is the tale that really creates the stage and tells our whole story. We wanted something that touched the senses of our customers; a word that gives the customer energy and drive. Momentum tells the customer that we will continually strive to nurture them through the entire creative process and get their voice heard through their brand / marketing efforts, while ensuring the return on investment. From there we created The Creative Momentum.
Since we had a name, the next logical step was to create a logo. An identification method. In method we mean a logo identifies a company or product via the use of a mark, flag, symbol or signature. A logo does not sell the company directly, nor rarely does it describe a business. A logo gets its meaning from the quality of it symbolism, not the other way around â logos are there to identify, not to explain. Basically what a logo means is more significant than what it looks like. The logo identifies a business or product to the masses in its simplest form. You have heard the phrase, âLess is moreâ.
The Creative Momentum color palette consists of three colors: red, white, and black. While we do have some UGA fans here, that was not the reason for choosing red and black. White is the majority that we use on our logo âsignatureâ. We apply black as a base and red generally as an accent. Of course we also use the red in our main calls-to-actions throughout the website to convey action.
We chose white to uncover purity, cleanliness, and to express a fresh start-really a new beginning. Black we generally use as a base because this tells our customer that we are slick, but yet very stable. Our red is to send a message that we have the highest confidence. We are full of energy and action. Action is important within our team, which we share with our customers because red is having confidence in going after your dreams.
The Creative Momentum Heads to Startup Spring Fling
Nothing beats the beginning of spring and that is why we are headed to Startup Spring Fling on Friday, May 4th, near Avondale Estates in Atlanta, Georgia. Besides cutting out of work early on a Friday with live music, great people, and awesome food, this is a great opportunity to help people find the momentum they need in getting their business idea conveyed and understood through a website. What good is a great idea without people understanding it, getting noticed, and them remembering who you are? At The Creative Momentum we understand that the same old thing will not work for every client and in todayâs fast-paced environment, selecting a web design firm that is up-to-date can be vital to your success. So this is your opportunity to come grab a drink with us and let your momentum begin!
