I’m so terribly sorry that I can’t always be super active. Unfortunately, I’m a full-time college student with a full-time job, and for the most part, if I’m not at either of those, I am exhausted. I’ve been finding it difficult to even stay awake at nights, which is the only real time that I have off, and if I want to play a game or something, that will inevitably eat away at the time I have for RPing. That being said, I’ve just finished my big Lab Practical, so I should be getting more time to do things instead of working and studying. Just… please be patient with me. Juliet stood, frozen, her eyes widened and vehemently thunderstruck. She had always believed the city to be a personal, unyielding purgatory in which she would carry out the rest of her afterlife without the people she had considered most dear. She had only recently adjusted to this new aspect of "life"-- until she found herself once again captured by the gentle gaze of she one she'd left behind.

Locking her knees to prevent her entire frame from buckling under the shock, she made a second attempt at speech.

"D-do mine eyes deceive...? Hast this city procured a thing in which I find solace? Hast... hast mine Romeo come back?"

Though she had spoken of the sword of House Capulet, he was not entirely wrong in his assumptions. Still, she kept this to herself-- there was no reason to lose herself in daydreams.

"... Yes. I have hope. I will just have to strive much harder than before to see these things returned to me."

"I never had the pleasure of knowing mine mother and father. They perished long ago at the hands of a terribly cruel man that I dispatched with mine own hands. Still, ones family may come in many forms. I cherish such memories well."

"Ah-- Sir Garen! 'Tis quite the predicament, being placed once again within these wretched walls. I am glad to see thou art doing well, though I had hoped more would have escaped this prison's wicked clutches."

winds of change || open

Juliet, raised among the deep, lush vegetation that grew in between the cracks of crumbling architecture within Neo Verona, barely lasted a few hours exploring the endless maze of hidden treasures within the city. The claustrophobic, grime-encrusted walls were enough to madden anyone, and the close quarters with strangers that bore daggers into your soul whenever you brushed too close to them sealed the deal when it came to her decision to occupy space elsewhere. Notwithstanding, the entirety of industrial areas was offensive to her senses, and without much coercion behind the action, Juliet refused the grimy alleys and endless apartment buildings in favor of aimlessly roaming the shopping district for the remaining hours of her first day within the city walls.

The sun had begun to ebb, shying behind the vast buildings nestled closely together in the area.  A warm, orange glow blanketed the the bustling streets as early evening settled in, and underneath its delicate rays, a caped figure was bent over a vendor’s cart, absolutely perplexed at the contents within it. She had removed her gloves, sweeping her exposed fingers across the surface of the chilled box that housed the vendor’s goods. She’d never come in contact with a refrigeration device before, and the idea of something so close to a natural heat source remaining so frigid had snared her attentions so severely, she had a difficult time drawing herself away from it. It was also too bad that she had failed to not draw attention to herself.

“... I don’t quite understand, sir,” she murmured in her 'I am a convincing male, yes I am' voice, deeply furrowing her brows. “What brand of sorcery creates such a thing as this? How do these goods remain chilled?”

Despite the lambasting glances from the patrons in line behind her, Juliet returned the glove to her hand and demanded an answer, her cape hanging loosely off of her boyish frame as she awaited an answer; it was clear that she would not cease her questioning until she received one that sufficed.
