I’m not going to be posting on this blog anymore. In an extremely brief format, here is everything you need to know about this:
I still love Dan and Phil, but not enough to commit such a large part of my life to them (these posts take a long time to make)
No one did anything to influence this decision besides myself
Anyone who wants to take this concept/idea of posting daily updates of Dan and Phil is absolutely welcome to it to “take my place”, you don’t have to credit me or anything
I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and thank you very much for supporting this blog for so long
I’m still going to be posting on my personal blog (but probably not so much about phan), and here’s my youtube channel and twitter if anyone’s interested

Throughout my life, I have had many periods of time where I become unironically enthusiastic about something. From Charlie McDonnell to Jake Edwards and Alex Bertie to Warm Bodies (that movie about zombies) to Red Band Society to Star Wars to Phan, I usually get obsessed for a few months, and then the excitement dies down, and I continue to casually appreciate the existence of the thing. This is definitely what happened with Dan and Phil.
However, this time, I had access to tumblr, and I made a blog. And tons of people followed it (26,943 to be exact) and liked what I was doing, and there was this interdependence that I couldn’t just walk away from when I got tired of it.
In the beginning, it was wonderful, and it truly was enjoyable all the way to the end to some extent. But it was easier in the summer, when I didn’t have any homework I needed to be doing, or after-school activities to take care of, or obligations and complications that don’t really lend themselves to spending an hour every day on screenshotting tweets and copying links to make a tumblr post.
However, this took time away from things I truly love, besides Dan and Phil. I stopped making as many youtube videos, didn’t spend as much time on my homework, procrastinated talking to friends. And as much as I liked making a collection of the things happening in the world of phan everyday, It wasn’t me. It was just a reiteration of other people’s lives and accomplishments, and it was taking away from my life.
What I never got tired of was the sense of community. I always loved getting asks from people and seeing the reblogs and comments and appreciating how some silly thing I was doing was bringing a bunch of people together on the internet, all because of a mutual love for the same thing.
But I started this blog because I wanted to. I originally planned on making it a physical journal, but I thought it would be easier to do online, and that way I could include screenshots and links. But for some reason, all of you liked that idea as much as I did, and for that I will be forever grateful.
As much as I love this blog, I have to stop. I started it, so I can end it; I have other things that are more fulfilling to my life and make me happier. I loved being enthralled by Dan and Phil’s existences, and I have made friends through this experience that I will never be able to replace, but it’s time for me to move on to the next great thing.
Thank you, so much, to everyone who has liked or reblogged or sent me an ask or tagged me in a follow forever or done anything at all to support this blog, it really does mean a lot to me. And I hope you all continue to love Dan and Phil or anything else as unconditionally as I’ve seen through this blog, passion like that is truly a beautiful thing.
Here we go! To make things a bit easier, I’m just going to post the screenshots and links with minimal explanation unless necessary. We’ll see how this goes!
hey uk if you ever can do daily updates you could change your url to weeklyphan and you could add little bits of of phan to a draft and post it every saturday or smth

I just watched your 'how to study for tests' video and you appear to be -much like myself- drowning in chem. If you ever need help with chem go to 'bens chem videos' on youtube, he is so helpful and his videos literally help me with every assignment and test I have!!

Haha thank you! I used google images to find a random picture of blue ombre, used microsoft paint to put the text on it, then emailed it to myself and drew the little stars and things on some sort of drawing app on my ipad (I can’t remember what it’s called)
Yes, I know, I know. I’m doing this again. But this time it’s because I’ve been dedicating my time to a project on my youtube channel that I am SUPER PROUD OF called VEDUC (vlog every day until christmas)
It’s a yearly tradition I’ve been doing for 4 years now and I love it very much. This, however, means that I can’t do as much work with tumblr. But I promise I’ll make posts whenever I have time! You just can’t expect every day, and it’s not fair for me to stop without giving an explanation.
