Gothenburg based Firebreather just launched a taste of what’s to come on their debut album – released October 13. “The Ice Lord” is a mix of heavy Sludge, Doom and a bombastic rhythm section that makes you wanna break something. Out of happiness of course.

Today's post goes out to Vokonis and their new single The Sunken Djinn taken from their new album with the same name. The band has only existed for 1,5 years now but has from day one released doom that’s really up there. Heavy as hell but still with a groove that makes it really hard to stand still. Can’t wait to hear the entire album :) As always, if you like it, buy it and support the bands!

Debut EP buy Swedish Doom-trio Kvalm.

Todays post goes to Kvalm and their Debut EP “The Greatest Story Ever Told“. It’s been out and about for a month now but since there was a YT playlist made for the entire EP today it felt like a good time to share this debut.

Todays track hails out of Finland and the band Morbid Angels who just recently released a split EP together with Albinö Rhinö. The song “Abyss” is a mix between Drone, Doom and sludge that marries into thick heavy soup of awesomeness.

Finland's grooviest collective of fuzzhead-screwballs Demonic Death Judge release their third full-length album "Seaweed" 13th of January 2017. The record will be released via Gothenburg-based Suicide Records, who recently spread into Finland. "Seaweed" will be available in CD-format and as a gatefold LP, 100 of which in green vinyl and 200 in black. Here’s the new video for one of the songs Heavy Chase.

A woman that really knows how to bring out those dark soundscapes that shakes you to the core, simply wonderful stuff. If you have the chance to see Helen live you should, it’s a very powerful and beautiful experience.

Florida based Nixa gives you that southern Doom/Sludge groove that makes your knees weak and your head heavy. Dirty and highly addictive.

Spiritual Black Metal Blues is for us a new genre but that’s exactly what Zeal and Ardor’s music has been described as. Wither it’s accurate or not they do deliver a really interesting mix of genres that at first glance shouldn’t mix well but they make it work, and really really well too.

Age Of Woe from Gothenburg has a lot going on right now and TDR think that calls for a post. They’re releasing their new album “An Ill Wind Blowing” on the 14th of October, heads out on a European tour on the 30th the same month and today they’re releasing a video for the song “Voices Of The Unheard”. So if you want to hear Crust HC, Sludge, Doom and more merry into a well balanced soup of awesomeness you really need to check these guys out.

If you’re into the the psychedelic rhythmic patterns of Rwake you will most likely follow the chaotic, but also enjoyable path of darkness with this Florida based Sludge/Doom band.

Besvärjelsen from Sweden is a band that we at TDR has been keeping our eyes and ears on for some time now and with their latest EP “Exil” they’ve really made us excited for what we’re hoping to become a full length album in not too long. The song “Havets sista vals” has so many levels of greatness so please enjoy some Swedish riff bonanza at it best.

Rare and far between are the bands that have had two songs featured on The Daily Ritual and having 2 songs on the same week is completely unheard of. However, there a first for everything so here’s another totally epic song by Albinö Rhino - Uphold the Light Part 2.

Headless Kross will later on this fall, 18th of November to be exact release their new album “Projections I” but they’ve already released one song for all of us to enjoy. So why not spend 8 minutes checking out their song “... Does Not Equal Time”, it’s time well spent for sure :)

Todays post comes straight out of the owen, all warm and fuzzy. Albinö Rhino from Finland released their new song Riff Religion today and we at TDR felt it was well worth picking up and share with all you guys so here goes!

Pershagen is an instrumental 3 piece from Piteå, Sweden and this is a video from a performance they did in their hometown. TDR had the opportunity to see these guys at the epic Krökbacken-festival this summer and they just totally blew us away. Unbelievable amount soul and skill in these young guys.
