Rainy afternoons are my favorite kind of day, especially when I get to spend them with my favorite kind of people. An impromptu visit to my friends’ house turned into a much needed respite from my all too busy life.

While Micah made tea and studied for his finals, Lauren showed off her newfound banjo skills, and Ein focused on being the adorable giant schnauzer that she is. It was kind of perfect.

My favorite part of this is Lauren’s to-do list. A few items on the list: play Zelda, Bible study, practice banjo, and watch Despicable Me II. Perfect.

Band mates, best friends, husband and wife - Lauren and Micah of thedamselsindistress are quite the dynamic duo. I met Lauren upon complimenting her (adorable) tights at church one Sunday, and after meeting for tea and conversation, we began building a friendship. When I saw how just absolutely adorable she and Micah are both individually and as a couple, I practically begged them to model for me.

Despite the surprisingly cold weather, this shoot was a total blast. We met up at The Root (both for the amazing food and the dynamic atmosphere), and then took a walk around the area, all the while cracking up. Thank you both for giving me an excuse to spend a day with such lovely, intelligent, humorous people.
