"If Chuck’s around here somewhere you really need to meet him, he’s a bit of a Gipsy Danger groupie—but don’t tell him I said that.." he smiles for a few moments more, bouncing on the balls of his feet a little, before his brain finally puts the pieces together.
Resignation. That was the last emotion he’d gotten off of both Chuck and Stacker before everything went black. Resignation, and the knowledge that they were going to die. They had known, and he had known, but in his strange new human body, he’d almost forgotten about it. He’d forgotten about how they all knew they must die in order to save the planet.
He lowers his head and stares at the ground, chewing on his bottom lip. “They… didn’t make it.” he wasn’t questioning her, he was stating it. He knew now, and he wished that he didn’t.
She felt terrible. Worse than terrible really. She had to make him remember. Where she found relief when she came to this world... he only found sorrow. Her pilots had made it, his hadn't.
Gipsy reaches out to gently touch the other's arm, giving it a squeeze. "I wish 'I'm sorry' was enough Striker..." she murmurs softly.
The dark haired woman comes across Striker with a tablet in hand, upon seeing him she just freezes in her tracks and drops it, or rather her hands just lose grip and it falls right out of her hand, the protective metal case clattering harshly on the ground. "Striker?" she says with wide eyes. She didn't know how she knew who he was, she shouldn't know who he is... but she just has this feeling.
"Who—"
He can’t quite place her face, but there’s something about her that rings bells in his puzzle box memory. She had an air about her, and air that commanded respect, but at the same time seemed oddly familiar.
"I’m sorry.." he tilted his head to this side curiously. "Do I know you? It seems like I do.."
He brings a finger up to poke at the ones currently touching his chest. “It seems that I’m not the only one who turned human…” he smiles a little, pressing against the fingers harder as if to reassure Gipsy that he was, in fact, real.
"How did you come to be this way? Did the Breach close? Are the Kaiju gone? Are your pilots safe? Are my pilots safe? I mean, if I’m here.. shouldn’t Chuck and Stacker be too?” he’s getting a little excited, hence all the questions. And, he wasn’t even done interrogating the other ex-Jaeger. He had a thousand questions he wanted to ask her.
She looks at Striker. "Yeah..." he murmurs softly. "I um... I was split in two... the other half is probably in engineering..." she murmurs.
Then he starts with the 20 questions and before her head can even really start reeling, her heart breaks. "He and I don't know... Yes... Yes... Yes..." then she falls silent and just looks at Striker. Her face is blank. What does she say? How do you tell a Jaeger it's pilots are dead. Her head just bows and she closes her eyes.

"... It's me.... Gipsy." she says quietly as she moves closer to him. Was he real? Was this for real? She saw him blown to nothing... not even a scrap of metal left. She'd forgotten all about what she was doing, leaving the tablet on the ground where it fell, completely focused on the other. "Is it.... is it really you?" she reaches out to gently press finger tips against a pectoral. He was real.
Noomi Rapace for Spring.
She'd finally adjusted to living life as a human. She was set up as J-Tech officer, registering as a specialist on Jaegers. Gipsy was really a jack of all trades when it came to working with the Jaegers. She could literally do anything with them, which only made sense considering she used to be one.
She was just closing up on a shift and she made her way from the hangar to the mess. She'd really come to like and depend upon this coffee stuff. The taste had grown on her really, and she found herself in dire need of some.
"I should probably be concerned about the fact that this is indeed my fifth cup in the last hour...."
...
—- “I hate it when I can’t sleep.”
She didn't mean to eaves drop, but it just sort of happened, that she'd been sort of half stalking, half avoiding the man. Unsure how to approach him and speak to him. She clears her throat. "I have a hard time sleeping too.." she says quietly.
So I'm going to revamp a few things on the profile, so bear with me.
So I think I may give her another shot.

Nineteen years.
They waited nineteen god damn years to come back.
Nineteen years to lull us into a false sense of security.
Nineteen years to let us rebuild the wreck they’d made of our homes.
Homes they destroyed.
The thing is…
We never saw it coming.
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇
It happened in the middle of the summer of 2044. It was a beautiful day in Macedonia, Greece. Sun was shining, a nice breeze was coming off the ocean.
That was right about when all hell broke loose.
Only this time… they came from above.
The sky tore open above Mount Olympus tendrils of light coming out like feelers and then it came through. We’d never seen anything like him. He was huge, but he was sleek and fast.
They called him Hermes. Messenger of the Gods.
When the Jaeger Program was reinstated, not every country got their Shatterdomes back and not every country got one built. Greece was one of those places, and they were completely defenseless regardless of whether or not they were caught unawares.
Within hardly two hours Thessaly and Macedonia were demolished, over the next six Crete fell, and before the day was done, most of Greece was a smoldering wasteland. They were able to evacuate a good amount of the population, but that area of the world hadn’t seen such devastation of a population since the fires of Pompeii.
Before things could get too far out of hand, or rather Hermes pull a HItler and begin annexing surrounding territories, a response team of Jaegers was sent in and after an hour he was taken down.
The world was shaken. An entire country, reduced to ash. The land claimed for these monsters.
We thought we’d won the war back then. But we’d only won the battle.
