They're magnificent.

Eagles.

They really are.

It's easy to fall into the line of thinking that eagles, yes, sure. Generic. Everybody loves eagles. How original is it to love eagles?

It's not about originality. They just are...

Utterly magnificent.

You don't understand this fully until you see them yourself.

Luckily my home, this fjord, has eagles. Not many, and I never see more than one at a time, and they don't show themselves often enough to be called a common occurance, but lately I've seen them more and more often. Three times in the past week.

I'm dumbfounded every single time.

Whatever I'm doing I halt, pause, stare in awe.

The massive size of these wonderful creatues never seizes to amaze me.

How anyone could wish to bring harm to them, like the pitiful beings who cut down the tree where they had nested for years did last spring, I will never understand.

I feel better when I see eagles. Somehow they lift my spirit.

They have signalled change for me for a long time.

In the past I hardly ever saw them, but when I did, something would happen, not long there after. Almost like a sign.

Prepare yourself.

Something's coming.

And it will be challenging, but worth it.

I'm not superstitious. I can't say I believe in fate.

But I believe in eagles.

Today I was just meters away from one as it took flight.

Thank you, I needed the encouragement.

I have a lot of work ahead of me.
