But Ryan is very straightforward with his words, which should already discourage Milo’s pinning for Ryan. I wonder why E-Milo stayed with Ryan? Despite Ryan acting a little closer and honest to V-Milo in the RP blog and dismissing E-Milo’s feelings. Plus the insults, which is the opposite of what Eris did. (Or maybe I’m wrong because I haven’t played the game in months)

Honestly this was what I thought at first too so I don't think I have much headcanons to share abt how E!Milo loves Ryan sm since my thoughts are already canon 😭 but yee that's the reason why E!Milo stayed w Ryan despite his garbage attitude!!!

Expanded (but terribly worded cuz I'm not a good writer):
◇Childhood◇
Soo originally lived in the South before moving up North. He resided on a small farm with his mother and father, living a somewhat normal life until he found out the truth about his parents' relationship (captor and captive). At some point, Soo's father tried to escape his mother but he was unfortunately caught. With his father's failed attempt, Soo witnessed firsthand how cruel and brutal his mother truly was. (The father was beaten and permanently locked in a shed to avoid any other attempts from then on.) This event takes place before the video as Soo's father was later shown in a tied and malnourished state, resulting in Soo's current hatred (fear* but he'd never admit that) of marriage. It also didn't help that Soo bore a strikingly similar face to his father which made his mother indirectly project her obsessive nature on him, even going as far as to carving her name into his back when he smiled at her. In the end, having grown tired of living in his emotionally abusive household, he calls the cops on his mother and helps his father escape.
◇Extra: Ugly◇
Soo's fondness for ugly things can be observed in the video although I didn't expand on why this is so. To simplify it in one quote, "Sweet lies, Bitter truth." Soo hates being lied to as most of his childhood was spent with someone who masked their true nature with a beautiful facade. His mother did a number on him as a child to the point that she continues to be the root of all of his current fears. Contrary to that, objects/animals/people that others perceive as "unattractive" don't have this kind of mask. Surrounding himself with ugly things meant he didn't have to worry about whether or not he was being manipulated. As a result, he began to be much more attracted to those things as they brought him comfort.
This especially explains the reason for when something he treasures becomes "pretty", he immediately gives it the cold shoulder. Not because he is no longer interested in it, but because when he looks at it, he can only be reminded of his mother's abuse.
◇Extra: Look-alike◇
When Soo was younger, he had straight hair just like his father which I explained above led to his mother smothering and emotionally abusing him. When he escaped with his father, he mostly kept his hair like this throughout high school, but also experimented with different hairstyles + cutting his hair. However, none ever made him feel like he was his own person since he could still see his father's face when he looked in the mirror.
Before going off to university, he decided to curl his hair (he gave into his impulsive thoughts) and took a momentary glance at himself in the mirror. The next thing he knew, his fist was bloody and the mirror was shattered beyond repair. His father came to investigate the noise, but upon seeing Soo, he was struck with terror and stared at his son like he had just seen a ghost.
That was the moment Soo decided that he'd keep his new curly hair.
