Humble Bundle is holding a sale on Game Maker Studio Pro!
GameMaker: Studio caters to entry-level novices and seasoned game development professionals equally, allowing them to create cross-platform games in record time and at a fraction of the cost of conventional tools! In addition to making game development 80 percent faster than coding for native languages, developers can create fully functional prototypes in just a few hours, and a full game in just a matter of weeks.
GameMaker: Studio™ Professional unlocks the full power of GameMaker: Studio™, giving you all the added ability to collaborate within a team through subversion, monetize your game with an unprecedented amount of developer services, as well as being able to purchase and plug-in Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8 and HTML5 export modules.
Compare to what it usually sells for, this is one hell of a deal. You’re also getting the source code for a few games, so you can look at those games and see how they work in engine.
If you’re a fan of Hyper Light Drifter or Undertale, this is the engine used to create both. It’s a good step up from RPG Maker if you’re itching to try a more versatile engine.
This sale runs until August 15th, 2017 (if I did my math right).
Seriously Game Maker Pro is usually $100+, this is a steal.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET GMS 1.4 IF YOU’RE JUST EVEN THINKING ABOUT GAME DEV’ING
This bundle ranges from 1000+ dollars depending on the stuff you get. While yes, Studio 2.0 is out right now, if you get this, the upgrade to 2.0 isn’t as bad as buying it for the first time, plus, 1.4 works GREAT and I love messing around with it! There are also a BUNCH of tutorials and a community that would help you figure out the language and how to make a game within it. It’s a hell of a lot more versatile than RPG maker and is good if you want to step it up. It’s the whole reason why I decided to switch Devoured World to GMS in the first place, because RPG maker simply can’t do some things that you can code wonderfully in GMS.
Do yourself a favor. Buy it for the 15$ and get on with your game design self !
