Discordant Choir Introduction

Hi, we’re the Discordant Choir. A trans autistic traumagenic traumagenic system. We believe we have DID. And currently a system of 44 currently. We made this blog to document our experiences and fun happenings in our lives. Also to make more friends band to better understand all of this. We’re a fairly new system.

We're bodily 21 as of writing. DNI for endogenics and supporters. I'm sorry I don't like people appropriating a disability. :).

Us, here's a brief run down of us. We're currently in college for computer science. We want to make video games. Escaping none of the trans fem stereotypes.

Friend, Copycats, and Fake Eyes

Another thing I rarely hear people talk about. This one much bigger than friend sparing. See friends influence on Spamton and Shadowguy Mike is very interesting. Something I don't here people say is they both are copycats, both to friend. Yes that's obvious for both of them but there more to this tie. Cat mike's the easiest. He copys the idea of mike, taking the friend fanon interpretation of mike. With the microphone paws and the tie it's clear he's copying Battat Mike right. But the eyes. That's copying friend. And it's established that those are fake. And their tie with friend isn't out of nowhere due to Mike's connection to Cat Petterz.

It's also worth noting that air waves has the freedom motif. And in a way that makes sense for the mikes as they have an interesting relationship with "freedom". They simultaneously want to be mike but don't want to. They want to be free but then who would be mike. I don't know if there aware of the nature of the world like Jevil and Spamton but they still struggle with their own freedom. Now we get onto Spamton. I want to start with something I see no one talk about. So first off we know spamton is a copycat from Swatch. Mimicking Swatch's colored glasses. Spamton's mimicking Swatch yes but also friend because of the pink and gold. We never see Spamton's eyes. Spamton is exactly like cat Mike in that way. They have fake eyes (fake eye colors for spamton) that mimic friend. But hang on now. Aren't Spamton's "eyes" a different order from friend. I mean sure they change but pink is distinctly on that our left eye. Ain't that true.

What's up with that. Well what if I were to say it doesn't end like that. See once we get to Spamton Neo things change. He's gained power but realizes after everything there are still strings attached. That he still isn't free. And he gets desperate, his last chance being taking the human soul. Spamton Neo.

It matches Friends eye order. Issue with this is we do see before the start of the fight facing the other way, to the right. And his sprite is just flipped. Pink for his right eye. But still in the fight we see it differ from his original spamton fight For the whole fight yellow in for his right eye. And after this is basically stays like that. Spamton's eye color changing for Neo onward blew my mind after replaying his fight. Because look.

Spamton's shop sprite was the closest thing we saw before this and that color order for the eyes is different then the one we see here at spamtons defeat. Even during his interaction with Tenna in chapter 4.

Again his sprite is just flipped. If you flip is chapter 2 sprite it looks like that. So take the it staying part with a bit of salt. But like. Neo and after in chapter 2 is very consistent. The eye colors being swapped for Neo compared to his normal boss fight is deliberate. What does it mean? I don't know pfft. But there are take aways. Despite Mike being a joke they still hold importance. And Cat Mike's similarities to Spamton aren't something to overlook. The eye thing could be an affect of friends. Why idk. It doesn't help Jevil probably interacted with friend and doesn't have the pink and gold eyes. Jevil and friends a hole other can of words though.

Friend's weird tie to Sparing

So in the most recent chapters pink and gold have been established as an important color motif with ties to friend. Now there's two places in Undertale where this motif shows up. First is the crossword puzzle but that doesn’t seem that intentional. I know that's when we see ICE-E and nightmare. Nightmare, mare, eram. Eram fight using friend. But it has to many other colors so I think it's just a coincidence. The second though.

If you didn’t know in undertale there’s two different types of spare colors. The colors themselves being diegetic to the game. By default its yellow however if you talk to a certain froggit in the 4 froggit room you can have it removed. The monsters won’t have any colors for when they’re sparable. If you ask for a new color the monsters will then use their old pink color.

Could it be a coincidence absolutely. The colors don’t match friends but are very close. And friend already has a weird tie to sparing. Because they take on the form of an amalgamate. Amalgamates only being reachable by a true pacifist run. You can't attack or kill the amalgams either. Not counting Snowdrake's Mom, I need to look into that but that seems to use a glitch thus probably not canon. Still I don’t know if this really means anything. Take it with a grain of salt.

Do them! You want to create stuff? Do it!!! You want to write, compose, code, garden etc? Do it!

Be the jack of all trades! If you grew up like us, you end up being told to stop wasting your time on things like creating, but we have grown and we have so many hobbies we can divulge in!

Life is too short not to learn the things you enjoy, and the people who tell you that you have wasted potential or that you should master all your hobbies don't know shit.

You never have to be a perfectionist, if something is fun, you can enjoy it at your own pace. Fucking enjoy yourself while you can!
