It's absolutely misogynistic that a group of men chose to infect a girl (a YOUNG girl, mind you) with the powers of a demon so she could deal with their vampire/demon epidemic.
You're telling me that no man or boy wouldn't have volunteered for that? When every society chooses to have men be the warriors? A boy would've thought of it as getting super powers! But, noooooooo. They chose a girl to be a warrior when typicially they would be "protected".
That makes me wonder...was it because they were afraid something would go wrong? Is it that they valued a boy's life over a girl's life in case something went wrong during the ritual and they died? Because, then hey! At least a boy didn't die. Or, was it because, they knew they could control a scared little girl better than any boy who would have been raised to be a warrior anyway? This group of grown men created a demonic version of a warrior they could control. How does that make them any better than the demons they are "fighting"?
Along with the flood of Klaroline feels, comes the flood of how nonsensical and unfair the finale writings were for all the finales.
Stefan gets peace after all his ripper deeds and abandoning his wife when he was minutes from going to hell a few days prior?
Klaus and Elijah really commit joint suicide so that Hope loses even more family in something that's parading around being poetical so they can recreate Voldemort's death?
Caroline really was away from her daughters for that long and just accepting that Klaus is dead and gone so she can be the demure grieving widow forever?
How about those writers go to therapy and let someone else finish these stories?

Though Dynamis (c. 63 BCE–c. 10 CE) remains an enigmatic figure, the available evidence paints a portrait of a crafty and powerful woman. She ruled the Bosporan Kingdom for nearly twenty years, a feat matched by only a few reigning queens of her era.
The poison king's granddaughter
Dynamis was the granddaughter of Mithridates VI, a notorious enemy of Rome. After his death, his son Pharnakes II succeeded him, but was now a Roman vassal. Dynamis was born around 63 BCE. Nothing is known about her mother, though she may have been a local woman.
Her name was unusual and almost unheard of as a personal name at the time. Meaning "power", it was used by Homer to describe physical strength. This perhaps reflects the high hopes her father had for her.
Pharnakes' expansionist policies eventually prompted Rome to reconsider its support. At the same time, a certain Asandros rebelled and overthrew the king. Around 46 BCE, Asandros married Dynamis in order to legitimize his position.
Thirty years of stability
As the link to the previous dynasty and the source of Asandros's legitimacy, Dynamis co-ruled alongside him, perhaps from the very beginning. They shared power for around thirty years. Little is known about this period, which may indicate a time of stability and a notable absence of major threats.
Dynamis and Asandros may have had a son together, Aspourgos, who ruled the Bosporan Kingdom after his mother's death. Some scholars have suggested instead that Aspourgos was a local chieftain whom Dynamis married during the final years of her reign. This hypothesis, however, raises a number of issues.
The years following Asandros's death are difficult to reconstruct. Dynamis was briefly involved, and perhaps married, to the usurper Scribonius. He did not remain in power for long. Polemon I of Pontos advanced towards the Bosporan Kingdom with Roman support. However, Scribonius had already been killed by the local population. A battle followed, and Dynamis ultimately reached some form of agreement with Polemon in order to stabilize the kingdom.
It is unlikely that they were married, contrary to what Dio Cassius claims, since Polemon married Pythodoris of Pontos around 8 BCE. Moreover, Dynamis had far greater status in the Bosporan Kingdom than Polemon.
Twenty years of personal rule
By around 8 BCE, Dynamis was in complete control of the Bosporan Kingdom. She remained a Roman vassal but struck gold coins, a privilege not normally granted to allied rulers. She also reached out to the Greek cities of the region and welcomed local people, notably Sarmatians, into her entourage.
Even more striking was her devotion to Livia, the wife of Augustus. Dynamis honored her in an inscription praising her good deeds. Dynamis may have benefited from her support. The two women probably never met, but Livia may have offered advice and guidance after the episode involving Scribonius.
Dynamis's ability to navigate the shifting loyalties of her time is clear. She maintained good relations with Rome while upholding Greco-Roman values and preserving the memory of her grandfather, Mithridates VI. The fact that she remained in power for so long is a testament to her political acumen.
By 10 CE, Dynamis was no longer ruling the Bosporan Kingdom. She had reigned alone for almost twenty years, a feat that placed her alongside queens such as Cleopatra VII and Pythodoris of Pontos.
Though her name was almost unheard of as a personal name during her lifetime, it became increasingly popular in the Greek world and even reached Italy after her death.
