Hey wouldn't it be crazy if Alastor was actually THE demon Alastor but the og demon, for one reason or another, had reincarnated as a human? And Alastor's disdain for the fact he's human and feels things is because the og demon within doesn't know how to deal with human emotions since he was once a detached, menacing executioner? And the character journey he goes on is realizing who he was, how maybe he doesn't mind being a bit human too much, and then accepting that okay fine he has friends he cares about? He also finds out the shadow familiar has been the physical embodiment of the og Alastor this whole time trying to guide his new soul/self.. Oh and also- reclaiming his role as head executioner for Lucifer...as much as the two can't get along too well now lol.

But hey this was just a theory

my first finished helluva boss fanart. this small man is an asshole but his brain is interesting to rip apart so he is possibly my favorite character. it is very uninteresting of me to have basically the main character as my fave but hey, it is what it is

A current wip but my brain is melting around the concept of doordash/delivery Lucifer.

Current premise - Lucifer is already at the hotel, but randomly gets 'summoned' away when humans get super lucky and stumble upon the correct method and sigils in their efforts to summon a demon.

Charlie and the hotel guests occasionally just see him pop back into the lobby at random, carrying some poor creature with him that was an almost sacrifice. He takes them back to the palace, sets them up a pen and heads back to the hotel. He'll check on them later.

It happens way too frequently. No one wants to ask why Lucifer is once again carting a goat through the hotel, but finally someone bites the bullet and does.

They find out he didnt answer these summons for years but he recently was informed that the idiots upstairs were sacrificing the animals (which explains the occasional blood puddles he'd find in the palace, now that he thinks about it), so he took it upon himself to start saving them. And - bonus - sometimes spooking mortals is fun, sue him.

Angel Dust makes an offhand comment about how it sucks that they can't make requests cause he'd kill for a good meal that didnt have to burn in fire and brimstone before hitting his palate.

So the next time Lucifer gets summoned he drops the knowledge that the devil is no longer interested in live sacrifice, but actually a specific meal. Gives them a Lil razzledazzle to make sure they're appropriately awed, and pops away with his new pig.

He doesnt expect much, humans have been doing this for years- they aren't going to change their methods because the devil wants a carbonara.

But... it works? The next time he's summoned the rumors have spread like wildfire and he ends up with a still warm to go bag in hand, which he shoves at Angel when he pops back into the lobby.

Pfffft - thinking about this more.

Word gets around, both in Hell and on Earth.

Humans are having far more involved encounters with the Devil, and more and more people are trying to summon him. Some have a purpose, spilling their desires out as soon as he manifests, while others just do it for the thrill. He deals in half fulfilled promises, delighting, much to his surprise, in the monkey's paw nature of his deal fulfillment. He's getting summoned quite frequently, but he's really enjoying being able to give the people Charlie’s friends with a little taste of the life they remembered.

There's a list posted in the hotel. The sinners have been keeping a short rotation, making notes as to what they'd like. Some of the requests are so regionally specific he has to wait until he gets summoned to the right spot before he can fulfill them. Sometimes he has more than one request in an area and he needs to capitalize on it while he's there so he has to wait.

He starts bringing projects with him. Ducks to paint, that sort of thing. The humans are a bit confused when the terrible and humbling visage of the Devil has them cowering before him one minute, only to summon a stool the very next, making secondary demands while he puts on jewelers glasses and details model ducks, his menacing demonic presence waning slightly... but not enough that they don't scramble to meet his demands.

Charlie is confused but enthusiastic about her dad's new side hustle, and she's gotten to try all sorts of new foods because of it.

It's only when some dude named Vox ends up with a demand on the list and a request to deliver to... what the fuck is Vee tower??... that Lucifer starts to wonder if it has gone too far.
