"You're not a superhero. You don't have to save the world if you don't want to -- you're allowed to let go." -Loki
Said every Lokean ever
it's the fishnets 💖
Bringer of Fire
I know the belief in Loki as a fire god comes from a false cognate but it’s a fun aesthetic and leaves room for lots of Promethean symbolism and also Loki is almost certainly a pyromaniac, so let me have this.
It may not be what He's most often famous for, but Loki makes a damn fine Protector when you call out to him.
Also, He finds you at your weakest, and then suddenly strikes with self-acceptance and/or inner strength.
Dr. Lokidottir's masterpost 🐺✨

❝Did looking at all the different information ever feel daunting to you? Ten people say one thing, ten other people say something completely different. It's a little overwhelming, to be honest.❞
Start of my way into paganism (it sucked).
❝If its not too personal, I'd love to know how you got started following Loki or any information about Loki's children!!❞
❝I think you've touched on this a little, but what is the best way to communicate with a god? How do you know you're doing it right?❞
❝Hello. I am practically newbie here. I was searching but didn't succeed. May I ask, what's the best way to find "my deity" and contact him/her?❞
In process.

“communication is key” applies to deities too, not just human relationships.
are you intimidated by a deity? worried about upsetting them? curious if they want to work with you? feeling off about your connection?
talk! to! them!
it can be scary to be vulnerable, especially with higher powers, but i cannot emphasize how much it’s OKAY to be very open and candid with deities, and let them guide you, reassure you, answer your questions etc.
last night I felt Loki calling to me again, and i got real honest and talked out loud about why i was hesitating to follow through on working with him. Loki immediately reassured me and helped me work through it, and now i’m very confident in moving forward! Seriously, just talk it out!!
Offerings for Loki
Loki is a fire giant and the Norse god of mischief and chaos. Although they often present as masculine, Loki is androgynous, genderfluid, and gender non-conforming. He is associated with many things including fire, red hair, wolves, spiders, snakes, fishing nets and mistletoe.

The Greek Gods vs The Norse Gods
The Greek Gods, all seated at a beautiful table on Olympus, standing welcoming their devotees with a huge banquet. The night is starry and with a pleasant wind. All are neatly in place, happy and waiting to receive their devotees.
Now, with the Norse ones. Thor drank all the alcohol, Loki devoured all the food, there is a huge mess. Odin is searching like crazy for his ravens, someone lost an arm and where he was going to be receiving his devotees now there is just a huge mess, but everyone is happy and excited to receive their heathens, with a giant bonfire, music and shouting, lots of noise!
What I mean, is that unlike the Hellenic pantheon, the Norse is VERY loud lol.
Hellenic Pantheon is TikTok and Norse Pantheon is Vine.
I say this from experience HAHA
Uh idk heathen memes I guess
A Lokean Epiphany
if you are a child of Loki there is no place in this world or any other that you should fear. no place you are truly alone.
lost at sea? drowning, in water or in pain? in tears? Jormungandr will coil around you as he does the Earth and hold you together. there is no end to Him or his protection
persecuted, shackled, hunted in the deep woods? Fenrir and His mother Angrboda will be your bright eyes in the dark, the fangs and claws that break your chains
alone in an empty place? caught between one world and the next? Slepnir will fly to you faster than thought, swifter than the dawn and more unstoppable as nightfall
lost within your own heart, or body? finding yourself changing into someone you don't recognize? dysphoric, traumatized, betrayed by those you trust? Vali and Narfi know this. they cry with you and dry your tears
watching those you love suffer and struggling to shield them? overwhelmed by a world of punishment, a system so much bigger than you? Remember that brave Sigyn's name means victory, and fierce love is stronger than any venom
on the edge of death itself? let sweet lady Hel welcome you into a merciful embrace - and She will not, if you have more to do before you come home.
and wherever you are, if you are a witch, an outcast, if you are silenced, if you are called a Monster, if your world burns, remember that we have a fiery All-Mother of our own. Hail Loki and Their family. Hail Us.
