Just saw this movie and I wish I could accurately describe how it made me feel. full of longing and nostalgia. Wanting to search for that long lost romance that I perhaps once knew.

As he pulled back from the kiss, she slowly opened her eyes. Her eyes flickered up to meet his, and a smile crossed her lips. Well, up until he confessed his reasoning for that incident in the elevator. Irene could only assume it was because of- well whatever Standard had got him involved in. At first, she didn’t say anything, she just gave his hands a squeeze.
“Why? Was it because of Standard?”
All she knew was there was some money involved. Which- did not surprise her. Money was always the driving force that lead Standard straight into trouble. Irene thoughts of her late husband were- complicated at best, and right now it weighed heavy on her. With Matt’s hands still in hers- she lead him over to the edge of the bed and she sat down.
“Matt, what happened?”

Matt nodded to confirm her question. He felt it still was all his fault, he should’ve known the money belonged to Bernie and Nino. He should’ve gotten Shan involved sooner, should’ve done some digging of his own. But at the time, the driver thought he was doing the right thing. He just didn’t want Irene and Benicio to get hurt.
As he joined her on the bed he couldn’t help but feel responsible for Standard’s death. He felt it was his fault that now Benicio was without a father. It just wasn’t right. But, they deserve to know the truth.
“The people who he owed money to demanded more. And if he didn’t pay well...” He paused, he didn’t have to say it. He knew she would understand what he meant. “So... We decided to rob a random pawn shop. Turns out that money we stole belonged to a big gang.”

They were in a rest area are taking a small break from driving. He decided now would be a good time to check the engine over due to a noise he had been hearing. They might have to ditch this car unless he can figure it out. That’s when he noticed her peering at him. “You uh... Really don’t know much about cars do you?” He asked in jest.
Sure, he knew some people don’t have a thing for cars. But it still amazed him when they rely on cars and yet people don’t know how they work. Some people can’t even drive them. So he stopped what he was doing and went over to help her out. “No offense, you just look confused.”
