Y'know, rewatching Ouran High School Host Club (totally not for the skrillionth time) as someone who's brain can actually recognise tropes and analyse it as I watch... this shit slaps.

Don't be wrong, it certainly has it's issues, but this shit is funny as hell. I had forgotten just how 4th wall break-y it is - it's both incredibly self-aware of the genre it's in and more than happily plays into the tropes while also making fun of them at the same time.

It's also incredibly gay as hell. Putting aside that the MC is a girl who's pretty much always crossdressing, but more than once characters are refered to as homosexual and it's not inaccurate; and most important imo is Haruhi's father.

While some of the terms used aren't exactly up to date, Haruhi's dad being openly referred to as a Trasvestite and working at a, quote, "Tranny Bar" is honestly good rep imo. It's never said in any negative manner, same with the homosexual comments, and despite the old and potentially offensive words used, it's still presenting queer characters openly and with no malicious negativity attached. Tbh it might’ve been one of the reasons why I turned out gay as hell lol

Also I have to bring up that one of the characters is 100% a bi fujoshi queen and I love her lol

Oh my gods how could I forget; theres like a rival club from an all girls school and they are just straight up lesbians. The word itself isnt used but there is literally no way you can deny that the whole damn girls school is just only lesbians. It's great.

So I recently picked up Persona 5 after having a passing interest after seeing my sister playing it many a year ago, and this shit slaps - but that aint the reason for the ramble.

For whatever reason, upon actually meeting the third person whomst heart the Phantom Thieves are to steal, I've immediately made it my mission to fucken speedrun this bastard. Not Speedrun Speedrun, I'm still taking my time and looting his palace, but upon the first day of being able to enter his shit, I have done so and am going to get as far as feasibly possible, no matter the items I have to use to do so - going against my core nature to Hoard That Shit until the end. Idk what it is abt this guy, but I just want bro gone so I can vibe. Maybe it's cuz I really like Makoto? Like, I legit found myself tearing up a bit at one of the glimpses into her story (specifically the scene with Sae where Sae snaps at Makoto) so I kinda just wanna fuck up this mafia bitches shit.

A part of me is also curious to see what happens if you handle someone so soon before the cuttoff. In any case, Persona 5 goes hard.

Whelp. I did it. Got bro in one day, excluding the calling card and stealing ofc.

I had to use my only cure-all (the item that fully heals and fills SP) after getting my ass kicked in a fight, but I did it. I really enjoyed the code cracking part of the palace, it was fun to do the mental math, simple as it may have been, and solve it on my own :]

Sin Eater, 2026 Edition

[Before the ranting, I DID NOT MAKE THE BACKGROUND IN THE PORTAL, it is the hell background from Terraria, cuz I'm lazy and didn't wanna draw allat]

So! I randomly had the desire to redraw an old arts of mine which I did back in like... I wanna say 2024 - could be earlier, who knows - after feeling like I've grown a lot as an artist in terms of style and method, and here she is :]

Now, for those who care to read my ramblings: I feel really happy with this - partly from it just having come out great, but also from the perspective of how much I've improved. This also only took me around four days - split over four days, not however many hours that is - with the majority of the work having been done yesterday, from having just started the linework to having it fully lined, coloured, and shaded by the end of the night. It probably helped that I was working off of a previous art and not trying to make something completely new, but even so the Art Gods blessed me to work that consistently on this (and this ain't even the last of the sin eater I intend to draw ;] )

Something I want to add about the redesign is the patterns on the skin. It was a very impromtu decision, inspired by one little thing I did for one of my commissions, that I really felt brought something into the design which definitely lacked in the original - homage to the colour ref.

That's a little thing I know, but even with the blended colours of the OG, there seemed to be no reason why it was green, and there still isn't tbh, but when I was making the original I was using a picture of an emerald for its colours. I don't remember what made me choose that, maybe I didn't want to make just another red demon in the sea of other demon designs that are out there, but I did. And, still having the original file with the refs and palette on it, I grabbed and used the same image when working on this. Part way through I decided I wanted to add a lil something to the actual body to add some zest, and I had the thought to use the looks of an emerald - the kind of wild refraction and striations that existed in the ref pic - to do that. I didn't want to just make it look like it was made of crystal, but some of that un-evenness to make the design pop some more. What I did was pretty basic, some blended colours and shaky lines, but I really like what it added to the overall look. Makes her look less perfect, despite being bedecked in gold and jewels and such.

Official Fursona Shi

It's my queer ass!

This was something I both really enjoyed, and struggled with a bit. Most of the struggle came with figuring out the pose - which may sound odd given what I ended up with is kinda bland, but I originally had the intention for the pose to have some more personality and uniqueness to it.

There's little things that I don't like, as there always is, but I really think I've captured what I wanted to - mostly - and got the design down for any future art.

In the past I've held myself back when drawing my fursona to keep it semi-realistic to myself, and this was the first time I just let myself actually be creative with it - and I found that to be so freeing. Idk exactly why I did - maybe it was to keep some amount of realism for realism's sake, maybe it was just... a part of me feeling embarrassed about furry stuff? idk. But, it is here now, and writing this out I've remembered an old sketch I did that would be perfect for a digital re-draw now that I've actually confirmed this design :]

Back at it again with another art :]

Another sudden furry oc ig? It's rare for me to make characters outside of things like npcs for my dnd campaign or just PCs for dnd to begin with :/ *But* this turned out great. As always there are little aspects here and there that I don't quite like, but that's art babey - you create and learn from what doesn't work for you.

I do find I'm really liking this style of presentation though. The bordered background and the main piece kinda falling out of it a bit. Tis very fun to me.

This took some time to finish because ive been struggling with motivation but its finally done. My dnd group informed me of everyone's flags and also had some input on clothing.

Alfie is mostly there to support all her awesome parents but at that age has probably figured they have some gender stuff going on but she doesn't know exactly what yet. shell figure it out more later tho dw.

Her arm band has one of their phone numbers on it in case she gets lost and needs to call them. Also his lil bug pin is a reference to the a joke in our group that Alfie thinks the word gender refers to a kind of bug.

Also Alfie def made the lil paper boat hat Atlas is wearing lol

This is a little something I cooked up for my dnd group to tease a future campaign I intend to run for them, and I thought I'd share it with the fine folks of the internets.

Y'know, I find myself listening to this again and again cuz fuck do I love how it turned out.

This was my first ever time making something like this, only my second time working with Audacity and figuring shit out as I went, but this is just what I had in mind for this when I wrote out the script a while ago. Just the right amount of spooky, just the right amount of rage in my voice as I read the words that I had practiced again and again in the time leading up to recording - but even then I didn't expect certain parts of it to come across so... visceral.

My favorite part is the line "All for the fun it would bring you" all because of how I read the line and how my voice got recording it - I loved it so much that I didn't even record quieter alternates under it like I did for the majority of the rest, just copied it and layered it with slight delays.

This has def taught me a lot, and I have every intention of making similar things in the future >:]
