I'm an artist by trade. I draw, write, and sew. On Tumblr I'll be posting in progress works, new items I've completed, and more! My favorite type of music is Celtic/Gaelic. I'm a big sci-fi fan, especially with Star Trek and Star Wars.

I found this pretty girl in my garage.  Heaven only knows HOW she got in there but I was able to safely get her out.

She belongs to somebody.  She's semi-social, will let me pet her, has a collar, is well fed, and has a great coat.

I'll be keeping an eye out for any "lost cat" posters or things like that in case she got out.

I was able to get some nice things as a belated birthday gift.  I love the Eowyn and Wonder Woman figurines.  Eowyn is ready for battle while Wonder Woman is so calm and almost sassy about it.  The Diana Barbie doll is also really nice.

I also enjoy looking through antique books.  You never know what you’re going to find in them.  I found this tucked away in a book published in the 1870’s.  I’m afraid I have no idea who the artist or recipient was as there were no names or dates attached.

I finally finished off my A League of Their Own costumes.  I was going to go as a Rockford Peach for Hallowe'en when I was also given the materials for the Racine Belle costume for my birthday.  Yay for mid July birthdays!

For reasons only known to her my old cat Rascal has a thing for trying to get into the inside of my hat.  As a joke when she was laying on me I decided to put it on her.  She was purring but she also gave me this look.

She was also displeased when I took the hat off.

I bought a Heart of the Ocean themed bracelet online.  The quality is very good for the price that I paid and the blue cubic zirconia “stones” are very close to the colors used in the movie.  They even have the bracelet in clear, multicolored, and red.

I've been thinking about starting up a new historical series about important women in history.

A friend of mine suggested doing the Bronte sisters first as PBS will be having a Masterpiece movie on them fairly soon.

This is the first one that I've completed.  I had juuuuuuuuuuuust enough thread to complete them.

I sprained the muscles in my back so I've been pretty sore.  If my back allows it I'll be cutting out the pieces for the second dress for the Bronte sisters tonight.

Two of a kind Edwardian nanny or early nurse doll dress.  I've seen some photos of nurses from the turn of the century wearing striped dresses.

I got my ring in the mail!  I'm especially happy that I only paid $30 for it when it normally retails for $100.  Yay for clearance sales!

It's Connemara Marble from Ireland.  The ring itself was made in Dublin.

I had just enough fabric to squeeze out this 1860's style dress.

I finished off a new 1930's doll dress.  I used satin ribbon and red faux pearls.  I think it could work well for a patriotic or a vintage style dress.

I've also forgotten if I shared this dress commission before or not.  Overall I'm pretty happy with both of them and both are available in my Etsy shop here.
