Now, onto the theme for the year. This year’s overall theme is Scrapbook.
Memories that we capture of key events in our lives, in an easily digestible format that we can look back fondly over years later.
Do you ever look back over old photos of friends? Of family? Old photos that remind you of the nostalgia of our moments in life?
Moments that bring fondness, perhaps bittersweetness, maybe even pain. Or perhaps family members have shown you their moments, trying to pass down their own memories to you and how it is the parts of their life that they not only captured but felt worth capturing.
That is the 2020 Crenny week theme. Soak it up, and manifest.
A few guidelines:
There shall be five days - Yup. Because it’s a good balance between a fun filled week and not overworking.
The daily themes are dual/split - This year, there is the option of two themes for each day. You can choose to do only one theme or both themes, it’s your choice!
Late submissions are fiiiine - The goal is Crenny and fun. If you can’t submit for this particular week, don’t let that stop you! Send in your glorious work, we wants to seeee it!
Have fun - Please don’t stress. The goal at the end of the day is fun, and shared love between a community that loves Crenny

Day 1 (August 30) - First Meeting/Accident
First Meeting -
What happens when Craig and Kenny meet for the first time? They say first impressions are important. Or maybe not, depending on how you see it. Do they love each other? Hate each other? Both? Is it apathy at first sight? Did they have a choice?
Accident -
Accidents can be many things. Tripping someone up ‘accidentally’? Genuinely accidentally hurting someone’s feelings? A friend who was badly injured? Something not planned, or intended, but happens regardless? Maybe something as simple as sending the wrong text to the right person, or the right text to the wrong person?
Day 2 (August 31) - Prom/Detention
Prom -
A memorable event for many seniors before their graduation, a chance to maybe spend an evening with friends? Or mischief by spiking the punch bowl? Maybe that chance to finally secure the person yearned after? Or is it a jealous affair? Maybe prom is spent on the couch playing video games, solo or with a close friend. Perhaps a plan to secure ‘Prom Queen’ despite the odds, or a set up is planned of sorts? Do people get ‘lucky’ or is it a pure evening?
Detention -
Detention. A place where students avoid? Or perhaps a plan to spend time with someone? Irritation at a fellow detentionee for getting both into trouble? Breaking someone out of detention? A first time meeting? A promise for revenge? A neutral ground where outside is a division that keeps from interaction outside of this room? Plots and tricks to escape from under the watchful eye of the teacher on duty? Distracting a person simply trying to do their homework?
Day 3 (September 1) - Dormlife/Sick day
Dormlife
Maybe it’s the first day? First week? Maybe it’s been a while? Maybe roommates drive each other crazy with their habits? Maybe there’s little to no interaction? Maybe unexpected shared interests are discovered? Maybe people are snuck back to the room because ‘Don’t worry, my roommate won’t mind’? Maybe a secret identity is discovered, or secrets need to be kept between roommates? Maybe it’s bliss, or yearning, or just someone to watch films with when essays are written?
Sick day
Sick days can be the worst, whether physical or mental. Is someone sick and needs to be taken care of? Does someone just need a helping hand? Maybe they’re proud and don’t let illness get in the way of what needs to be done? Maybe avoiding the sick person is the plan, despite their attempts to want to be close? Maybe it’s just sitting with someone while they rant after everything gets a little too much? Maybe it’s a ‘sick day’ in appearance, but an excuse to skive off for a day?
Day 4 (September 2) - Crenny Day! Free Day!
Free day - Freeeeee! All possibilities! All ideas! As wild or as slice of life as wanted. Does it involve watermelons? A missing item? Being the hero when no one is? Is it Angsty? Romantic? Fantastical? Is it actually a play on words and they decide to start a boy’s swim team for a summer? Show us what you’ve got!
Day 5 (September 3) - Vacation/Party
Vacation -
Vacations can be simple, or complicated. Is there a trip abroad? Time off from school/work? Maybe small acts between chaos are the way forward? Is vacation what is managed when money is an issue? Maybe a vacation that is a little more permanent? Maybe envy at a vacation that can’t be taken, and the solace found in another because of it? Maybe vacation isn’t even in vocabulary? Perhaps vacation is for those who don’t have to do makeup classes?
Party -
Is it a college party? A high school one? Perhaps a family event? Solo cups? 7 minutes of heaven? Spin the bottle? Never have I ever? Strip poker? Are their drunken shenanigans? Quiet conversations away from overwhelming crowds? Drunken brawls? Crazy dares? Is it ticking off everything from ‘Don’t Threaten me with a good time?’ Is it trying to hide feelings, or jealousy whilst in a drunken haze? Maybe a family affair that is tame and boring? Maybe refusal to go? Maybe a party brought to someone?
Yeeees uuuh… I had little complications trying to understand how I could make my own illustrations for the crenny week, I completely blame my misdiagnosed ADHD, so if by the beginning of the week I cannot solve my mental puzzle I doubt that I will be able to post anything, so For now I only bring this shitty doodle, 100% real situation, without evidence and without doubts.

What more can I say? I commissioned this person in December. I paid for a full art with ink and color. It was agreed they’d show me the sketch first. We talked a little and I was given a sketch. I said thank you and paid them. They disappeared for a while and came back with a different sketch. I said it was okay and continued to be kind and understanding. When I paid them I over paid them because I believed they under charged. Months go by and I haven’t heard anything. They tell me eventually they’re having a hard time and didn’t want to answer me because they were afraid to message me, which I understand. Anxiety sucks a lot, I told them it’s okay, I understand, please take your time but I did mention that as long as they update me and stay in contact it would be ok. However, months later (because I gave them MONTHS) I message them for an update and nothing. The last time they said anything to me was /March/. I send a few more messages a month later, nothing. I mention that it’s been a while since they updated me, months. Nothing. They’re active on all other accounts which mean their purposefully ignoring me. I send a message in May asking why they haven’t contacted me. Nothing. It’s June and I message again. Nothing, they updated online three days ago to their other accounts. They could at least talk to me? But they’re not. Now I’m annoyed. They’re drawing other things and posting online but the thing I paid for is ignored for what? Six months?
I’m sorry to have to post this, but I’m about to contact my bank and PayPal because I really don’t have a lot of money and all I asked for was my art I paid for.
I don’t want this to happen to anyone else, so this is your warning. Please spread the word because I don’t want anyone else to pay for something and be ignored.

A drop of water rolls down Craig’s neck as he opens his mouth to say something, anything. Because instead of wearing the nice suit he knows is in the back of his closet, Kenny is standing there in his fluffy purple bathrobe, complete with embroidered green Mysterion M . Craig takes in the room again, rose petals almost glowing in the warm candlelight, and tries oh-so intelligently to start several sentences when his eyes land back on Kenny. “You’re...not dressed.”
