Careful it’s hot. Also,” She passed over the money her friend had given her for their order. “I paid for both, my treat and I don’t want to hear any arguments about it.”

“I’ll never say no to a free Coffee,” Eliot smirked, accepting the warmth from the little paper cup. “You didn’t have to do that though. But....it does give me an excuse to get you coffee next time,” the brunette said, wiping away a few curls. “So, tell me all the new drama with your kids at school. I swear to god everyone in my classes are on some kind of stimulant drug. They won’t shut the fuck up ever.”

Eliot’s head has been in the clouds lately, what with fall break happening and colder weather bogging down most of his spare time. He’s finished grading the quizzes from his ninth grade entry level theater class- most of them missing concepts completely, and so he finds himself walking into Poseidon’s bookstore. 

He jumps a little at the voice, then flashes a smile towards the woman. 

“Would you happen to have Little Weirds by Jenny Slate?”

Home sweet home! And thank God for that. Black Friday and 5 year-olds don’t really go together all that well.  I love my kid, I really do but there should be a limit of Princess Dresses they sell at the Disney Store. I’m like 99.9% sure she bought all of them. Read, talked dad into buying them.

Oh, by the way, hi all!  For all of you who I haven’t talked to before now; My name’s Alex, and if you happen to run into a 5-year-old dressed as a Disney Princess over the next few weeks and if she happens to listen to the name Faith, that’s my kid. Okay, but like...the Disney store is the greatest place of all time. She’s lucky! I wish I could wear princess dresses all the time. She sounds cute.
