I saw a clear blue sky, the sun shining brightly, warming everything she touches.
Under her yellow rays, I saw a young couple dancing. They seemed happy, content, and carefree.
Today on the bus I saw a soldier crying. She was pulling her nose and alligator tears were rolling down her cheeks. Landing and soaking the mask that covered her face.
For a short, brief moment she lifted her gaze and I got a sneak of her sad sparkling eyes above her sunglasses.
Her sadness gushed out of her stare like lava does during a volcanic eruption.
Today I saw a soldier who was biting her lip so she won’t sob in the street.
She was holding her bags, waiting for a bus, ignoring the people who stared.
Standing with earphones in her ears although she hasn’t listened to anything at all.
Today I saw a soldier crying, and god I hope I’ll get my tears under control soon.
