A âWhat IfâŠ?â Series but with classic animated Disney movies
I got some
- What if Jasmine got the lamp?
- What if Mulanâs father had gone to fight in the war?
- What if Elsa and Anna both had magic powers?
- What if Nala ran the kingdom in Simbaâs place?
Hi I love this concept
- What if Hades raised Hercules
-Â What if Jim Hawkins became a pirate
- What if Eric became a merman (specifically if he was the one who made the deal with Ursula instead of Ariel)
- What if Prince Phillip was the one to get cursed
- What if the villains won
- What if Belle became a beast
- What if Mim taught Arthur
- What if Tiana made a deal with Facilier
- What if the dwarves raised Snow White
hi. yes. there is a book series like this. the book series is called A Twisted Tale and each book asks a âwhat if...?â question for a different fairy tale.

idk if they're good. i just know they exist.
Since thereâs different authors and different âwhat ifâs, they can be hit or miss. For instance, Conceal, Donât Feel has a really neat What If... concept... but unfortunately, after a certain point it feels close to a retread of the movie. On the flipside, Reflection is supposed to be really good, like it has some of the best reviews, and I honestly loved So This Is Love and Go the Distance.Â
A book for The Princess and the Frog comes out next winter, and Iâm excited to see the twist here.
Hi, ive read/own most of these and my first and favorite was "Once Upon A Dream"
in terms of the authors of them, i've been iffy on the ones by Jen Calontia, but i only got a quarter of the way into "Mirror, Mirror" and haven't started any of the others, though i have "Conceal, Don't Feel" to read once I get to it. Im honestly slightly upset with how it went with mirror mirror but i was never a big fan of snow white which probably played into a bias. Ive really loved her "Fairy Tale Reform School" series so i had pretty high hopes going into it.
"Reflection" was extremely good, ive read it at least twice and really enjoyed the overall character arc within it
I really enjoyed "Straight on Till Morning" and "Part of Your World" and both of them are almost twice the size of most of the others
I honestly have nothing but respect and praises for Liz Braswell, who has done an incredible job writing a good chunk of these and rather quickly and i really want to get my hands on "What Once Was Mine" since i know she's probably done an incredible job on it, especially with how she managed to create a character out of thin air for Aurora that i related to an extreme amount (but im also biased to like that one since i was named after that princess and it was my first one)
