One of my favorite journalists, Jordan Chariton was just arrested during his live coverage of the 100% peaceful anti-police brutality protest in St Louis. Around 200 activists gathered to speak out against the unjust execution of Anthony Lamar Smith, an African American man who dreadfully fell victim to the brutality and bullets of the St. Louis police.

The activists were met with roughly 500 heavily armed and vindictive officers. The police demanded the activists disperse while blocking all exits for the peaceful activists to leave. The first group arrested were reporters and the media...This was clearly done to censor any footage of the arrests and potential brutality towards the nonviolent protestors. Freedom of the press clearly does not mean anything to the St. Louis police.

A World Without Vegans: Pros And Cons

Cons: 

Increased greenhouse gases

Increased deforestation

Increased land and water pollution

Increased heart disease, diabetes, cancer, & other diseases influenced by diet

Increased homeless cats and dogs

Increased animal experimentation

Increased slaughter of innocent beings

Increased global starvation

Pros:

A decrease in people defensively comparing themselves to lions 

A decrease in people saying “Bacon though...”

A decrease in people trying to convince others that plants have feelings

A decrease in people acting like nutritionists while not even knowing fundamental facts about protein

Yeah... A world without vegans would be a lot worse, but at least anti-vegans wouldn’t be a thing.

Pound Seizure

Last night, I filled out the application to adopt a dog victimized by the exploitation and cruelty of vivisection (Animal Experimentation). Since then, I discovered the absolute horrors of “Pound Seizure”… Where lost dogs and cats are legally stolen from local animal shelters and given to animal testing laboratories to be tortured and killed. Just the thought of my dog of 14 years… My brother since I was only 6 years old being subjected to the DISGUSTING practice of vivisection breaks me down in a way I’ll never be able to describe. Knowing this is a reality to some is devastating. I’ve never felt strong towards directing my passion of animal rights away from our agriculture industries, but this doesn’t just tug at my heart… this tears it out.

There has been no greater influence of compassion in my life than my dog, Buddy. We’ve been through so much, and he’s continued to stick by my side even to this day. Animals have always been there for me, I will always be there for them. I think I found my new niche within our liberation movement.

Boycott The Zoo

No living being belongs in a cage... We use cages as punishment for criminals and we use them as profit makers with animals. Only 18% of land animals in zoos are threatened or endangered, this means we have no reasonable excuse to keep the other 82% of animals in zoos for “their own good”. On top of this, nearly half of the animals in zoo breeding programs are not endangered! 

Zoos do not care about conservation or protecting endangered species. They care about profit - They breed animals based on which ones they believe will bring the most revenue into the zoo, not which ones will help the ecosystem.

Animals do not want to be in small, artificial environments! Don’t support keeping them there, boycott the zoo!

We’re so elitist that when we see animals struggling, instead of preparing for a feast, we think of ways to help the less fortunate.

We’re soo elitist that when we hear how an abundant majority of our crops are fed to animals raised for slaughter rather than to starving people across the world, we choose not to support that practice. 

We’re sooo elitist that we choose not to contribute to the most polluting industry in the world, animal agriculture, because we want everyone to live with clean water and air.

We’re soooo elitist that when we see an alternative to killing others, we choose that alternative.

We’re sooooo elitist that we are actually consistent with our beliefs. When we say we love animals, we truly mean it. 

Tell me again how vegans are “such elitist pricks”
