Hello there! This is the official blog of Annwn Woods very own library.

You may know that this building is particularly very old but it is apart of our town's rich history. Every book stored within the town's borders was written, hand crafted, bound, and brought here at one point or another, and while we love our history it has set us back on the times.

We will try our best to navigate the site and keep the blog running and up to date as requested, we apologize in advance if it seems as though we've made a mistake.

Remmeber our library rules:

- No yelling in the Library.

- No running in the Library.

- No littering in or around the library, we are not your maids.

- Any belongings left behind will not be the library's responsibility to return to you.

- Do NOT enter the librarian's office under any circumstances. It is called a restricted section for a REASON!

- Do not fill up the report box with reports of the Library "changing shape".

- Ask my assistant for any help you may need or questions you have.

((OOC: This blog is run by @rainbow-neko-main and is supposed to be pretend-run by a fae who doesn't exactly know what a work-professional blog is. As such- the fae will personal post mixed with library topics.

This fae character (named Laila, though doubtful she will ever introduce herself as such) is my R.L.Stine Goosebumps OC, so she will follow closer to traditional scary fae folklore then the Disney happy-go-lucky stuff. So be warned.))

[There is a knocking at the door- and peering through the keyhole you might find that....this probably wasn't who you were expecting on your doorstep....but-]

"Okay before you freak out about how I know where you live- I promise you that you do not want me to give these early Holiday gifts in the library, its being a little finicky right now... Also someone told me you RAN to the library to come help me last time so uh...I didn't want you to- do that. Again."

(This girl has zero communication skills. none. nada. she is so awkward. But she looks better atleast.)

[Usually he's wary opening the door given his... situation, however, Willow's face brightens seeing Laila, now looking much healthier than when he first returned her to the library.]

[He looks a bit better himself, now. It seems Molly has made him a Christmas sweater!]

Oh- Hey..!

I'm, uh.. not worried about you knowing that sorta stuff. It's better you than, like.. Slappy. Or any other number of monsters that dislike me.

You wanna come in? It's cold out there.

"Yeah! That would be nice- Maxwell almost didn't let me come because of the cold. I'm not exactly winter-prepared-"

[She steps inside at the invite, letting Willow close the door behind her.]

"-which would have really sucked because I think these gifts are kind of a bit priority. I don't think anyone can top them."

[Her warm smile feels a little mixed. Cheeky almost - maybe a bit on the embarrassed side, but it's hard to tell with how the colds tinted her cheeks.]

[Wood's peeked out from behind Willow, curiously reaching for the bag around Laila's shoulder.]

That mean what I think it does? Is it done!? Show me!

[Willow pulls him back by his ghostly tail, earning a hard scowl from the spirit, who backs off, arms crossed.]

Sorry, he's been.. antsy recently. A lot of the recent stuff that's happened has made him feel restless. Like.. I mean- Meeting the eldritch god his soul came from. ..Long story, but now we know why he's green and British.

[Wood scowls harder. Willow awkwardly clears his throat and laughs.]

So, uh.. Just here for a delivery? Or.. do you wanna hang out for a bit? We've got hot chocolate here if you're interested.

"Oh hi Gingersnap-! It's no worries- I get it. Like i said- the library has been pretty finicky lately too- ...also a long story. We should trade-"

[Her posture sags a bit. You get the feeling the library has been giving her a run for her money since the kidnapping- though theyre hidden you can almost imagine how her wings and ears would perk up with her eyes as she hears the words 'hot chocolate']

"That sounds amazing-!"

[She has to catch herself for a second from spiraling into just spending time here...she would be lying if she said she didnt want to, but She gingerly treads over to the nearest table.]

"But, Ginger was actually right on the money... it feels wrong to keep him waiting...and you for that matter. Dont think i forgot that I promised to help both of you."

[Her hand literally shakes as she pulls the puppet out of her bag and sets it on the counter. Looking more nervous then you think you've ever seen her.]

"It only actually occurred to me that I've never used my woodworking skills for anything but myself after I told you I would help so uh...sorry if it's not perfect. But it's still using coffin wood - particularly from the fae's forest. Shouldn't be too hard for you to change anything you need once it's yours."

[Wood stares wide-eyed at the new empty puppet sitting on the counter. It takes a few seconds, but he then shoots forward, looking and inspecting it everywhere. Willow laughs, and grins up at Laila.]

Are you kidding? It's amazing! It looks just like him! He seems happy, too, that's for sure.

[Wood finally stops in front of his new body, staring into it's face for a long minute. He opens his mouth to say something, pausing as he tries to find the words. Wood turns to Laila, hesitating, then quietly mutters.]

...Thank you.

[Willow fidgets with Wood's necklace, and holds it up.]

So, uh.. how do we get you out of the necklace and into your new body?

[Wood turns to Willow. Then rubs the back of his neck.]

Uh.. not anything fancy, like a ritual.. You actually just gotta smash it.

...What.

[She giggles a little along with Willow's laugh. Only pausing to meet Wood's look, flustering past what the chill outside had done to her face and hiding away into her scarf with a muffle 'You'rewelcome'...

She does however pop back out eyes wide at what they had to do.]

"Hey uh. I second that. What. You're sure??? Like-....that really doesn't seem safe."

Yeah, obviously - My soul's stuck in it, whenever Slappy dies he breaks open and turns into gas and goes on to possess a new body sometimes. If you break it I can get out. Right?

...How about you just.. release your possession curse and I put the necklace ON your new body instead.

...Oh yeah, that works too.

Yes- We do- it's uh-

I'm not actually caught up on modern technology so I don't quite understand the book I'll be honest- did you want to check it out- I'll have to get it from the back, I've been reading it on my own time.

Oh! The CDs! I remember those very fondly- I actually thought burning one meant- actually burning. Like with real fire. You can imagine my confusion when it wasn't!

Oh right, before I forget. Arts and Music 1940s-

(She seems to think to herself for a split second before pointing to a nearby aisle... the aisle, stands out to say the least. It doesn't seem to be surrounded by other books about art or music- and it almost seems squashed between two aisles of more modern time periods. Almost as if she's somehow manifested it into being there for Pat's convenience.)

(Once Pat had the book she wanted, she looked around the library. The decor, the walls, the aesthetic. It's nostalgic yet new.... Still needs improvements.)

Pat: You know, back home, I have a friend who worked at a library like this! Only with less leaves and more children areas. The outside walls are thicker there, nearly sound proof from the hallways outside. Sometimes, a man can scream outside, but no one hears a thing, making it easy for Children to read in peace.

Are men screaming outside your librarys normal? Hehehe- Your friend's library sounds nice! Perhaps I'll visit some day and yoink some ideas.

The leaves in here are less kid oriented and more to pay homage to the forest this town replaced a long while back. This place is sort of historic in that way, and it's nice to meet the people who care enough about that to come here anyways.

Pat: It's good to keep memories of the evidence alive. A lot of people think they can cover the old ones with new, which is why they have "Automatic Cars" and digital streaming these days...

It's a shame.. They never seemed to... Stay behind and relax...

(She stroke her fingers against the shelves gently, as if feeling the texture. Small laughter rang through her head, replaying memories. It only took a moment until Pat remembered something)

Pat: Oh, and I almost forgot - Can I still have the Emoji book? I never got a chance to read it, but I'm curious about the author's passion in them.

(Lailas smile turns melancholic, if you didn't know any better you would say she understood what the Pat was thinking or seeing, because she knew the feeling too well herself. She shakes her head though and returns to normal at the request.)

(She dissapears into a room behind the counter, and comes back with a dark blue book in hand, removing a small fake felt flower she had been using as a bookmark before handing it over.)

Pat: You know, back home, I have a friend who worked at a library like this! Only with less leaves and more children areas. The outside walls are thicker there, nearly sound proof from the hallways outside. Sometimes, a man can scream outside, but no one hears a thing, making it easy for Children to read in peace.

The leaves in here are less kid oriented and more to pay homage to the forest this town replaced a long while back. This place is sort of historic in that way, and it's nice to meet the people who care enough about that to come here anyways.

I'm not actually caught up on modern technology so I don't quite understand the book I'll be honest- did you want to check it out- I'll have to get it from the back, I've been reading it on my own time.

Oh! The CDs! I remember those very fondly- I actually thought burning one meant- actually burning. Like with real fire. You can imagine my confusion when it wasn't!

Oh right, before I forget. Arts and Music 1940s-

(She seems to think to herself for a split second before pointing to a nearby aisle... the aisle, stands out to say the least. It doesn't seem to be surrounded by other books about art or music- and it almost seems squashed between two aisles of more modern time periods. Almost as if she's somehow manifested it into being there for Pat's convenience.)
