my thoughts on the whole mess

DW is always an up and down that's just how the show works but tbh i still cut it a lot of slack because at the end of the day the show just means a lot to me and it's kind of impossible to have every episode be perfect or even good.

But to fuck up a regeneration might actually be the worst you can do to that show... i loved 15 so so much and ncuti immediatly sold himself as the new doctor for me and it's so fucking sad how he (the first black doctor i must add) has been butchered all over with having no big announcement, only 18 episodes and then having the worst regeneration (in my opinion).

The whole final was so rushed, so many things just didn't make sense and important characters got sidelined (belinda chandra you deserved so much better my love). I'm not saying all was bad but there is a time and a place to wrap things up and now was not it.

When i think of the past regenerations (maybe minus bi-regeneration sorry) it should make you emotional and sad but it also should make you feel excited at the same time... all this final did was leave me mad.

To say good bye to a doctor is never easy but it's also always one of my favourite things to watch the actor have their final moment and i feel so so sad for ncuti to have that special moment getting rushed. He deserved so much more time and adventures and a director who focuses on the future of DW and not live in the past all the fucking time.

there seems to be a thing in the epic fandom regarding yt reactions that pisses me off so much??

because whenever i see a yt announce they are going to react to epic (or upload videos with the reactions), many epic fans are so set on the person doing it the "right way", which seems to be with specific animatics and always in sagas, don't cut anything out and don't you dare getting the order wrong and to me this just seems so... overwhelming and overbearing?

i get the excitement and whenever you watch reactions of a thing you love you want that person to get it "right" (whatever that may be), but then i see people getting mad over them splitting the sagas or choosing a different animatic or not doing animatics at all... there is nothing wrong with giving tips (e.g. the songs have an order, you can watch animatics if it helps...), but i don't need to see every person having the exact same reactions😭

AND PLEASE STOP arguing in comments what kind of animatics they have to choose, there are so many talented artists out there and every single one deserves their flowers (if the reactor wants to, they can still watch the others later) and not everyone has to upload their videos in sagas either, because it still takes a lot of time to make these videos (mortius and casper split the sagas and no one seemed to be bothered by that), just calm down a little and enjoy people getting to know this wonderful musical

thinking about the aftermath of epic, thinking about the people of ithaca seeing their king return but changed, thinking about mothers and children seeing him alive but not their beloved ones, thinking about ctimene who has her brother back but lost eurylochus, thinking about what odysseus is going tell her, thinking about what they all will think of him and how they are managing with it, thinking about penelope and odysseus laying in their bed at night, neither can't sleep but at least they have each other, thinking about telemachus and odysseus learning more about each other but also trying to adjust to the fact that odysseus came back when telemachus is already grown and odysseus has no other choice but watch his boy go out into the world on his own (although i like the idea athena still guiding him), thinking even though odysseus returns home and reunites with his family, so many years got lost in time, so many lives were taken and nothing will quite ever be the same as before
