im curious about your shiny hunting setup, do you have multiple games running at once? do they run automatically somehow or are you just manually walking around in tall grass until you encounter something and running away when it isnt shiny? congrats on the ralts

I do have multiple games I hunt on - I put them next to one another like a game boy piano lmao

For Ralts it was a 1/1892 odds shiny hunt, but I used the Pokemon Encounter Calculator to increase Ralts’ 4% encounter rate to a slightly-better-but-not-really 10% with a level 4 Repel trick.

If I put a level 4 Pokemon at the front of my party and use a Repel, only level 4 (and above) Pokemon can spawn. Luckily, on Route 102, level 4 is the highest they get - and Ralts can only be encountered at level 4.

Perhaps you’ve noticed my fainted Chinchou. This is so I can still have the benefits of Illuminate (encounter rate increases) while still being able to perform the level 4 Repel trick (because the Chinchou is fainted, the next team member’s level is what counts)

I also use the White Flute, which stacks with Illuminate and further increases encounters. The more encounters, the more chances for a shiny 😏

Phase 5 for shiny Ralts, a Wurmple, BUT THE GAME FROZE!! I was fiddling with the console trying to get a good picture angle aldjkfjdla The only thing I could think to do was save state (a feature of the analogue pocket!), but the save state just leads to a crashed game LMAO

Don’t you worry, I’ve still been grinding for shiny Ralts 😇 I found two Wurmple since failing the last one (both evolve into Cascoon/Dustox) making them Phase 6 and 7

You can play Sonic Adventure 2 on Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One S/X, Xbox Series S/X, and on PC via Steam (and by extension Steam Deck). No mobile tho (that I know of)
