I dunno if that's the case, but the whole situation gives vibes that it was WOTC that forced Larian to completely change Wyll. No sane developer would make such a big change late in the development. And WOTC is the licence holder, so they had the final say.

The only plus here is the fact Theo Salomon voice fits better...

I have watched videos with early access Wyll cut-scenes and he was such an interesting character.

Dragon Age gave me PTDAMD - post traumatic dragon age mage disorder. And thus I am wary of spellcasters on my first playthrough in a game and that is the reason why I chose Astarion over Gale in my first BG3 playthrough (despite not being a big fan of vampires).

And everything turned out pretty good, as I had Astarion and my friend had Gale ;)

I have to read the books the show is based on.

I was circling around the show for quite some time now, but got inspired to watch it only when I finished my Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough where my bladesinging wizardlady with long silver hair romanced Astarion (the vampire). Plus I saw earlier Department Q.

I was halfaway through episode 1 when I ordered the books. They should be here tomorrow. It was quite the wait, ugh!

It was sweet that Astarion was under the belief that no one would figure out he was a vampire before his big reveal. Most of us took one look at him and said "yep, that sure is a vampire right there." Most, however, doesn't include the party members. Some of these characters are supposed to be perceptive and intelligent, and I'm still convinced that if you press your ear against theirs you'd hear elevator music.

I imagine a lot of Hawke’s birthdays played out something like this. It’s not fair, having a father who is a mage, and he won’t even fulfill your one wish of being turned into a dragon :( Every year the anniversary rolls around I’m left absolutely baffled by how I’ve managed to keep this up all these years. Thank you for staying with me, for joining along the way, for your support, and for the laughs we’ve had!
