#FromBeyond is another awesome film based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft. It may not be the scariest thing you've ever seen but its so much fun to watch - great acting, slimy creatures from alternate universes and Barbara Crampton in leather lingerie. For those of you who also have a short attention span here is another short horror film - Brutal Relax. It's more of a dark comedy action short (if such a thing exists) and its a really fun watch. Even though it is a bit silly the gore in this film is awesome and for the most part done with traditional sfx. Inside is one of those films that makes you never want to get pregnant. It does start a little slow, but if you're a fan of gore this is definitely the movie for you. For one reason or another foreign films always seem to cross boundaries many American films would never even dream of crossing and this film is no exception. This my second time watching it and I still cringed throughout the entire thing. #Run is probably one of my favorite short horror films ever. I've seen it at least a dozen times and it is still as creepy as the first time that I saw it. Writer and directed Mat Johns does an amazing job at capturing the terrifying nature of people in just 7 minutes. I am so surprised by how low the ratings are for this film. I thought it was suspenseful and the gore is pretty amazing. At first I wasn't sure how they'd drag it out for an entire 90 minutes, but there really wasn't a moment that I wasn't glued to the screen. It ends on a surprising, but satisfying note.
