So it’s been a while. This has been a weird time and weird moment but I’m going to leave tumblr. It’s been on my mind for a while. Well more than a while. But I still role play on discord.

She giggled “Well Glitch, it has definitely threw me off.” She looked around and cringed “Gods this is nasty to look at.”

Once things have cooled down, Tyson jumped out of the truck to meet up with the flame keeper.  “Dude…that’s…kind of awesome.  You nearly went supernova on the block, but kind of awesome.”

“Who are you?” She asked holding her sword out in front of her. She didn’t want to fight again,she was tired and just wanted rest.

“M’name’s Glitch,” he answered, “the jolly giant in the battle wagon you have to know.  If you don’t that’s not on you, nobody can know everything about everything.  The point is that we’re not going to fight you.  I kind of like my suit the way it is; not fused to my skin that’s been second or third degree burnt.”

She dropped her sword and stared at him. Holding her hand out for him to shake “Hello Glitch...I’m Akiko.”

She was tired of them coming for her. This had to be the fourth time they tried. They wanted her for her abilities. She knew what they were like,she saw what they did to her home. Slashing her sword into one of the dark agents to make them stay away. She was scared. She didn’t know what else to do, set them all on fire or surrender or run for her life. Slashing her sword at them before she heard a loud rumble. “Great what now?”

A large truck came crashing around the corner and slammed into the heavy assault trooper Talon sent along for this snatch mission.  Two other grunts got waylaid by the dropping side of the truck, unfurling a ramp where an armored man with a great big hammer came down to meet his opponents.  

“Talon has been causing trouble across the land for far too long,” he boomed with a distinctly German sounding voice.  “I say ENOUGH!”

He slammed the top of the hammer into the back of a grunt that dove out of the way in time, but just barely.  And not enough to escape the armored knight’s weapon.

“Oops, didn’t see you there...” he muttered to the in pain wailing of the grunt.

“Yes you did,” came a voice from the truck’s intercom that had notes of lilting Swedish.

“I’ve no idea what you are insinuating,” the knight retorted, a young man in a dark grey body suit and mask, lines of soft blue light streaking across the suit with pockets full of gear stepping off the truck behind the knight.  The knight whispered off to the side at him, “I very much knew he was there...”

“Reinhardt...you’re still on comms...” the young man in the glowing suit remarked.

“Oh...um...let’s just deal with these villains! Come, Glitch!  TO GLORY!”

“Right behind you,” he nodded, swinging a large wrench from a hipside connection, glancing over at the young woman with the blazing sword.  “Yo, Voltron!  Get to cover or help us out.  Either way...I’m good.”

Akiko stood looking at the literal giant that came out of the truck. Were they friendly? Did they come to help her? She continued to slash away at the talon agents but kept her guard up.

As Reinhardt smashed through the Talon troops, the young man called Glitch eventually made his way to fight back to back with the fire channeler.  “That’s a pretty cool trick.  Can’t tell how you have that sword ignited like that without singeing your eyebrows or fingertips.”

Akiko gave him a look. She guessed he has never seen a person who can control such a element. “I can start fire with just a thought.” She said to him.

“Oh, cool,” he remarked.  “I can look at tech and figure out what it is, what it does, and how to break it.  Or fix it if the case may be...beg pardon...”

He swung his wrench around so it converted into a long rifle, taking aim at a sniper that was aiming for Reinhardt who was gleefully tearing through waves of enemies like it was a day at the park.  A well placed shock charge sent the sniper into convulsions before collapsing in a heap.

“Sorry, you were saying?” he inquired.

She stood shocked at the quickness of his ability. Looking over to the giant “What’s his problem? He seems a little too happy.” Swinging her sword at another agent. She was tired, she felt her grip on her abilities starting to loosen. “You need to go hide. Tell your giant and whoever else is here to hide.” Her body turned into flames.

“He’s...got no problems at all.  Everyday’s his birthday when he defends the defenseless and fights a daunting foe.  Think of him like that old story, Don Quixote, but he actually knows what he’s doing and he’s not crazy.”

“Debatable some days,” came the voice in the chair, making sure that it was only on Glitch’s comms line.  This was about the time Glitch recognized the telltale signs of someone about to go Supernova.

“Bridge, lovely to hear from ya. Hey, settle a bet: the war wagon...how much heat can it take?  Like, actual heat, not weapon fire.”

“You expecting something, Glitch?”

“Classic Cinema: Hellboy.  For the record, the Del Toro version.”

There was a very long pause on the comms.  “Ah...Reinhardt, come to the safety of the war wagon please?”

“We have them on the run! Why retreat now?” the jolly knight inquired.

“Del Toro Hellboy, first movie,” Glitch and ‘Bridge’ both chimed up.

“Understood,” Reinhardt retreated back to the safety of the mobile bunker, Glitch following suit.

Akiko watched as the men retreated back to their truck. Looking back over at the talon agents that were still lurking. She let her abilities take over her. Her eyes went a orange white color. She moved her hands out towards her and set the grounds on fire hitting all the talon agents.

“How’re we holding up?” Tyson asked.

Bridge fired up the engines and pulled away from the area.

“The hull’s hanging in there but I just put these tires in, I’ll be damned if they melt off before the warranty expires.  Gonna at least get us out of range of this inferno.”

Akiko continued to set the agents and the surrounding ground on fire. After the threat was taken care of she gain control over her abilities and receded her flames.

Hanzo slept soundly throughout the night with Akiko in his arms. It wasn’t until morning that he began to stir. He groaned a little at the sunlight in his eyes, but it didn’t take him long to adjust to it. He glanced down at Akiko beginning to awaken in his arms. He smiled softly at her, gently brushing a strand of hair or two out of her face. “Good morning, my love.”

She blushed smiling at him. She buried her face into his chest. The light hurt her eyes, but she remembered last night. She smiled again at the thought “Good morning,love.”

“I hope you slept well,” Hanzo spoke as he held her close, his hand moving to gently stroke her soft hair. She was just so beautiful and perfect like this. He couldn’t help but want to lay like this with her all day, but eventually they would have to get up.
