The Flat Earth is turning FIVE YEARS OLD - and celebrating in style...SALMON STYLE. Much like the mighty salmon returns to it’s place of birth, The Flat Earth is going back to the PHILLY FRINGE (spawning optional). The show is not only packed with the best sketches from our first five years (or thirteen shows)...we’ve got a cracker jack line-up of hosts to help us celebrate:

We’re back from yet another marvelous Toronto Sketchfest. It was wonderful to roadtrip up north and see some old friends and show us some new sketches. BUT NO REST FOR THE WEARY! We are already hard at work at our next run at PhIT while simultaneously planning video shoots and our next trip to Montreal. Oh - and we’re also selling t-shirts to help fund all this nonsense.

We’re truly blessed to be sharing the stage with some folks we are proud to call friends.

On Friday, March 3rd, we’ll be kickin’ it with nos amis de Montreal, HOT RAW FIRE. Then, on Saturday night, we’ll be joining OOPS IT’S CHRIS & CAM.

** This Week in The Flat Earth **

Tonight (Friday, 11/18) is your FINAL CHANCE to catch our newest show, THE GREATEST at Phit Comedy (Philadelphia). We won’t be back with anything new until March (well, maybe a few new videos here and there to hold you over).

This week we also learned that we will - for a THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR - be headed to Chicago Sketchfest. The Second City is like a second home to us...and we’re bringing some friends this year! Just check out the line-up we’re rolling with this year: Dog Mountain (PHL) HOT RAW FIRE (Montreal) and Carson Pinch (TOR)? Are you kidding me?! And, for once, we’re not up against Danny Pudi’s crew.

HRF (as we call them, ‘cause we’re tight) are the reigning, back-to-back “Best Local Troupe” at MTL Sketchfest (2015 & 2016). They claim to be a “bunch of buds just rippin’ up some sketch comedy and chillin’ hard style”...but we think you should come see for yourself. What is going on in The Flat Earth? Plenty! Next week, we’re looking forward to a great night of sketch featuring a pair of “Best of Fest” award winners (that would be us and our friends from Montreal RAW HOT FIRE). Help us welcome them to the City of Brotherly Love when we  perform with them at Good Good Comedy.

“But what about this week?” Plenty!

On Thursday night, catch the WGRA Radio Theatre production of “Motive: Murder!”. Written and produced by Flat Earth-er Vincent P. DiCostanzo, “Motive: Murder!” is a choose-your-own-adventure-style vintage radioplay. The show features multiple endings, some of Philly’s finest performers and the Philadelphia Ukulele Orchestra performing music. Hosted by Good Good Comedy. Thursday, August 18th, 8:30pm, $5 [TICKETS] Vincent also sat down with the My First Sketch podcast to talk The Flat Earth, WGRA & just being an old man doing sketch comedy in general. Give it a listen - he tried really hard not to sound pretentious.

On Thursday/Friday nights, Matt & Jacquie (as The Incredible Shrinking Matt & Jacquie) take the stage at the Philly Improv Theater. Catch their incredible show “Sketch Comedy” as they take the stage with Philly Improv Theater’s newest house team [currently Codename: Athena]. Hosted by Philly Improv Theater. Thursday/Friday, August 18th, 19th. 9pm, $12 [TICKETS]/[TICKETS] Matt & Jacquie also submitted their short film “The Test” to Celtx’s Seeds grant competition.
