Headcanon that Arthur sometimes lets Lewis possess his body for various things. Usually for eating Lewis’ favorite foods/snack if they come across them.  But it can be used practically too. For example if they need to sneak somewhere it might be easier for Lewis to hide out in Arthur then for him to sneak. Since Arthur is so easy to posses naturally and hes not fighting, it actually takes less effort for Lewis to do that then to become invisible. Or if they were to stumble onto some other ghost hunters, Lewis might take to hiding in Arthur. But no matter what the reason, Lewis  always asks before he does it.

Vivi can always tell who it is. Even without looking at his eyes. She says that Lewis does not pull off any of Arthur’s mannerisms right at all. He holds himself very differently. She taught herself to be hyper aware of arthurs body language after his mulitple possessions during investigation. She is always the first to be able to tell when Arthurs not himself, sometimes before even Arthur realizes hes losing control of himself
